Jennifer Lopez Explains Why She Broke Down On Oprah
J.LO: 'I CRIED ON OPRAH BECAUSE PUBLIC ARE BEHIND ME'
Pop superstar JENNIFER LOPEZ broke down in tears on OPRAH WINFREY's TV show last year (04) because she was so elated to discover she had public support.
The 35-year-old Latina beauty appeared on the hit American chat show in late 2004 and refused to answer any questions about her relationship to former finance and Hollywood hunk BEN AFFLECK. But the JENNY FROM THE BLOCK hitmaker then promptly burst into tears - when she heard the audience's enthusiastic support for her silence.
Lopez says, "I've made a lot of mistakes, and I thought what I should do is take responsibility for myself, draw some boundaries. You never expect people to understand what you're going through, because they're not in your position. But when I did Oprah and explained I couldn't answer what I felt uncomfortable with, the audience started cheering. I just got emotional and started crying because it felt so good. It made me realise people out there are with you."
