I heard on the radio yesterday that he felt like he was sinning ever since he got into the music business. So when they was at the hotel, his body guard was like
"where houston at"
and they was like "he upstairs".
So the bodyguard went upstairs in houston room and saw blood on the floor but he thought since houston be having a lot of nosebleeds, that's what it was. So when he saw houston with the towel over his face, houston told him it was a nosebleed until he took the towel off and saw that houston gouged his eye out. They say he felt like he wasn't in any pain.
He said "He felt closer to God that way"

K-Sly of 100.3 The Beat in Los Angeles posted an update on her R&B singing pal Houston, who gouged his own eye in late January on a promo trip in London, on Thursday (March 17). "Houston is doing very well and is soaking in his blessings," she told an e-mailer. "I talked with him on Sunday and he's just taking it easy, getting needed rest. But he said he's in good spirits."
