Simpsons creator Matt Groening wants 'The Only Gay In The Village' to appear on the hit show.
He has revealed he is a big fan of BBC comedy Little Britain - and would love to work with the show's stars.
Groening is now planning to get Matt Lucas - famed for his brooding PVC-clad gay Welsh character Daffyd - and David Walliams on board for an episode.
"It would be great fun to get them on The Simpsons," the Sun reports him saying.
Movie star Johnny Depp recently revealed he loves the show and wants to appear on it, as he did on The Fast Show several years ago.
Groening has already shown what a fan he is of British comedy after last month inviting The Office star Ricky Gervais to write an episode of The Simpsons.
He heaped praise on the show, saying: "Everybody on The Simpsons is a fan of The Office - it's one of the best shows on TV in the last decade."
Gervais has since been working on the project but will not reveal any details.
I think I could be future guest star on the simpsons. They seem to be kinda pulling people off the street. There is a guest star in each episode. It is like they are running out of ideas.
Ricky Gervais has written a love song for his guest appearance in The Simpsons. The Office creator will sing the tune to Homer's long-suffering wife Marge when the episode is recorded in Los Angeles in June.
Gervais is the first Briton to write an episode of the hit series, which has been running since 1990.
He told The Sun: "I've written a song that my character will sing to Marge. It's a love song, but I don't want to say any more at the moment."
As The Office's David Brent, Reading-born Gervais performed several brilliantly embarrassing songs, including Free Love On The Free Love Highway and a version of If You Don't Know Me By Now.
Simpsons creater Matt Groening asked the 43-year-old to appear after becoming a fan of The Office. However, unlike many other guest voices on the show, Gervais will be appearing as a character rather than as himself.
David (singing):
Pretty girl on the hood of a cadillac, yeah
She's broken down on Freeway 9
I take a look, I get her engine started and
leave her purring and I roll on by
Bye, bye
Free love on the freelove freeway, the
Love is free and the freeway's long, I got some
Hot love on the hotlove highway, ain't
Going home 'cause my baby's gone
