QUEEN LATIFAH TO HOST GRAMMY AWARDS
Rapper-turned-actress Queen Latifah has been confirmed as the host of this year's Grammy Awards ceremony.
The star is nominated for an award in the Best Jazz Vocal Album category and she will also perform a song from The Dana Owens Album at the prestigious music industry event which takes place next month.
Neil Portnow, president of the Recording Academy, says, "Queen Latifah is an extraordinary Renaissance artist with unparalleled style and substance, and her passion, talent and personality make her an excellent choice as host for our show."
Latifah won a Best Rap Solo Performance Grammy Award for her single "U.N.I.T.Y." in 1994.
