Beth_K said this in post #16 : I actually felt bad for Chris when he was getting all choked up after getting fired.
I did too...I even think the Donald did as well. Ive never seen him call anyone over to him after he fired someone. After Chris left...the Donald said he was a good kid, and even Carolyn agreed.
It was sad, I admit. Personally even though the idea for the brochure was bad....I dont think Chris was as much to blame as Alex in this task. Alex is really good at throwing the blame around (kind of like the male version of Erin, who did the same thing). Alex forgot to take alot of important pictures...which could have changed the whole way things were looked at..they may have not won, but his mistake didnt even put them in the running. I knew Bren wouldnt get fired because he, like Alex was at one time, was on a winning team until now, and Trump gave him the benefit of the doubt.
But..in all fairness, Chris has been in the boardroom 7 times, and he luckily managed to stay longer than most people thought...so it wasnt all that bad for him. He had to realize that Donald wasnt gonna choose someone with a losing record like that.
Chris will do fine after this....he is after all, a millionaire.
Of course thats just my opinion....I could be wrong. (Dennis Miller)

Dude is really emotional, so him choking up didn't surprise me. He's young, too. And after all the pressure something has to give. Trump was cool to call him over, class act.
Chris will be fine, so long he doesn't get drunk and arrested again.
Yes, he's emotional. We all thought he should go, but now feel a bit sorry for him. Probably because we knew he wanted The Apprentice spot so much.
He's young, too, and I doubt has faced much failure. Combine the pressue of the last few weeks & his trying to kick the nicotine, and thinking his team mates dropped the ball in certain areas - I think it was understable. I'm surprised more don't react that way.
Except for his obvious shortcoming - a temper he has difficulty controlling - he must be a good businessman to be a millionare (or he just bulldozes over everybody!). I think Trump liked him. Trump calling him over points out he has a soft spot in his heart, and sometimes feels bad knowing he has to let someone go, knowing they will be hurt. I agree, a class act for what he did.
