This show is an American remake of La Femme Nikita set in the environs of the CIA rather than "Section 1"--an anti-terrorist covert ops organization.
If they won't bring back La femme Nikita....this is what will satisfy me.
1) Nikita and Sydney had lousy relationships with their manipulative fathers. And their fathers were instrumental in them becoming humanint.
2) They both fall in love with their good looking "handlers."
3) They both kick booty and take no prisoners.
4) They both wear alot of leather.
5) Sloane is the bad upper management character that "Operations" was on Nikita.
many others
And now that she is doing black ops, it will be more interesting.
The Rimbaldi thingy hardly interested me last season....couldn't imagine "intelligence" to be so interested in such a thing....
Though the US CIA in real life really thought there were WMD's so, I do see alot of similarities in idiocy.
Nikita is better looking than Sydney. Sydney always pooches in her cheeks at the strangest times.
Bridget Fonda did a La Fem Nitkita movie years ago. I liked most of it, but she killed a cop in the beginning and I could never identify with her as a good guy after that.
I don't remember the name of that movie. They show it USA network sometimes.
I don't think I have seen the real thing from overseas, who is the actress who plays Nikita?
The original French film by Luc Besson "La Femme Nikita" starred Anne Parillaud. She married Luc Besson.
"Point of No Return" is the American version with Bridget Fonda.
Both of these film versions portrayed Nikita as a drug addict who kills a cop during a robbery. These girls are recruited into humanint with either the option of becoming a spy, or facing death.
The TV version starred Peta Wilson (my avatar).
You might like this one better because in this series, she was a drug addict, but they framed her for the murder in order to recruit her. I like this plot better.
