I'd have to guess whatever country is most ancient (no major political changes that have reshaped the region) like China. England is probably a close second. Just guesses though, I don't have facts!
Human evolution can be traced back to Africa where the oldest bones have been discovered. All of the worlds land masses were basically one giant continent before being broken up. So it allowed for migration to spread all over the place. So life in Africa is the oldest civilization out of all. It’s the roots of our world basically. Hopefully I paid attention correctly in History class
It makes sense though because they were always at war with other tribes and such.
"Africa" isn't a country.. it's a continent - every continent has had ancient warring tribes. I think the question should be a little narrower in scope to be restricted to those countries currently recognized internationally.
Iraq does serve as a major gateway betwen Europe, Asia and Africa - but so do a couple other countries right there in that vicinity such as Egypt and Saudi Arabia...
Never heard of the Saudi Arabian Empire, and the Egyptian power was not an empire either.....
Much of the Middle East to be Israel. Israel used to encompass most of the Middle East from Syria [Assyria which used to be northern Iraq] to Saudi Arabia to Iraq.
What about Germany. If you look at world war 1and 2 then Germany fought wars with almost every country in Europe, then you have the Franco / Prussian war I admist that Germany was not a unified country back then but the war included the major states that made up Germany.
England has fought a lot of wars with countries such as France, Spain, Scotland and civl war also the Crusades.
Then the UK as a whole WW1 and 2, Korean war, Falklands war, and the war with Iraq twice.
I'd say it was the Britian. England has gone to war with France, Spain, Germany, Scotland (on numerous occaisons), Wales, Ireland, Argentina and America. (its all I can think of)
As the British Empire we have been to war with India, Denmark, America,France, Spain, Africa somewhere along the line, Russia, Italy the scandinavian countries during the viking age and a few countries that dont exist as countries any more (like Normandy and Rome.)
Then theres the civil war and the were probably wars between the old England countries, like Northumberland. Thats before England was united as one.
