The one year icon may not be the best idea (don't get me wrong, I love it, I just want to point something out).
On a lot of boards that I've seen, when the "elite" people get these little icons, they use it as a position in an argument when they have no further ways to argue a point. So, they argue "look at me, I'm a one year member"..... "so you're wrong, newb".
No problems with it really. I just don't know if making a distinction between the old and the new members is really a brilliant idea.
But that icon is so awesome I'm very conflicted

Maybe the star program that me and chodder brought up, maybe that would work better.
If you get voted a certain amount of stars, you get a icon like that below your regular icon. Or if you are a regular member, you get just the icon.
That would make it positive.
I liked the old star system, somehow I kept a 5 star rating. It was very hard to do, I had to be nice to everyone.
After it went away, I got a lot meaner. And you all wound up with the sarcastic in your face s.o.b. before you now.
I think early this year, Marc talked about putting the star system back in, but making it positive only, if you get enough votes you get some kind of icon.
I don't know, I don't care. I just saw that icon in the top post and went into Covet mode .
Whoever is designing those icons, they make em look sharp. I love the Gold member icon.
The platinum one is a little too silver for my taste, but it looks sweet just the same. I saw the diamond ICON and said:
WOW.
Me wants, me wants. O' me precious!
Off subject, but that Diamond icon is for the diamond member, which we vote on at the end of the year, from the platinums that made it through the year.
One plat makes it to Diamond and gets a years free membership with the gold priveliges.
I can't remember all the plats this year, but I might go with Chodder if he was a platinum. I think he was.
I remember for the month I won I had like 100 reward points earned. Then if you added in the previous 2 months I think it gets close to 150. I think.... I have the power to see who has points and how many too

ldamniwishihaditearlier I even got all 3 movie scripts signed by the brothers. Not ACTUALLY signed but printed on. But its still kick ass I'll type up a quick review in the matrix forum when i get a chance.
