Anyone seen this movie? I was thinking of maybe going to see it but I wanted to hear what others thought of it first...
Is it scary...is it corny?
Scary movies these days arent really scary.
The scariest movie I have ever seen was The Shining, which goes to show that you dont always need to have someone terrorizing the neighborhood and ripping people to shreds for a movie to be scary....
Sometimes movies like nightmare on Elm Street are more corny than scary....
So..anyone seen this one?
Of course thats just my opinion....I could be wrong. (Dennis Miller)

I saw the preview, I can't wait til it comes out here... looks good. I like Carey Elwes, I think he's a good actor, so that's an up. And the whole premise seems... *shivering*
My vote for the scariest movie, at the moment (it changes depending on my mood), goes to Rosemary's Baby. It's not really that scary, but everytime I watch it my heart sinks.
Movies like nightmare on elm street, the friday the 13th series, they're all pretty goofy, but fun if you enjoy that kind of thing sometimes. This Saw movie doesn't look too bad though, focusing quite clearly on being a thriller.... though this could end up being corny still...

Yeah..I wasnt sure if this was considered a thriller or a horror movie...so I stuck it under the horror thing..
I guess Ill go see it anyways..
I like Cary Elwes too...he was good in Twister and he was good in The Crush!
Rosemary's Baby..ooooh I agree..that was scary..definitely goosebump scary!!
Oddly enough I also thought Whatever happened to Baby Jane (with Bette Davis) was scary too.

I've only seen the previews for this but it looks good. I can't wait for it to come out. Like Gabo says, the premises is very creepy. I hope it lives up to the hype.

Apparently they're already starting Saw 2
I hate how they do that. It's just cashing in and the sequels are never as good as the originals. I just heard they've already got a script for Shrek 3.
Yeah, but it wont be coming until 2007. Shrek is pretty good, but the second movie wasn't nearly as funny as the original, which is unfortunate. I hope they pick it up a bit.

Finally saw Saw and thought it was awesome. Not terrifying, but heart-stopping at times. Definitely worth watching; one of the best horror films I've seen in... well, too long.
Read from bloody-disgusting's website that Saw 2 will be written by the guy who wrote 28 Days later... but later read that's BS. However they're going to announce the writer in the next few days or weeks; since the movie will be released later this year.
If it's even marginally as good as the first movie it'll be worth watching.

I absolutely LOVED Saw... and I can't wait for the second one to come out.
This film was absolutely BRILLIANT!!! Every single time you think that you've figured it out, you find out that you're wrong. All the way to the VERY end. Carey Elwes was amazing in his part. It was heart wrenching at time. It was a little freaky, here and there. But, mostly, it was just BRILLIANT! I can't say that enough.

I just found this on the Saw 2 official site (message board):
Twisted Pictures and Lions Gate Films have hired music video helmer Darren Lynn Bousman to direct Saw 2, reports Variety. Principal photography is set to begin May 2 in Toronto for a Halloween release.
The first film was released last Halloween and earned $80 million worldwide.
Bousman wrote the Saw 2 screenplay, which he developed with Leigh Whannel, writer and co-star of the original film, and James Wan, the movie's director.
Saw was the first title under the Twisted, the genre production arm of Evolution Entertainment. Twisted is currently shooting Catacombs, starring Shannyn Sossamon and Alecia Moore (aka Pink).
Supposed to start filming may 2

Saw was a rare case where I liked the sequel much better than its predecesso...
And I am curious, is 3 better than 2..?
