Religion and TV are used to brainwash the "couch potato nation". It's not surprising that you don't see this. Most Americans don't after a lifetime of indoctrination.

Well, how condescending of you. And now you can speak for most Americans.

I'd suggest you get to know a few more Americans - we're quite able to think on our own and draw our own conclusions.

As to your later assertion that prostitution is a "religious law" conveys the extent to which you've been brainwashed. "If it feels good, it must be OK", right? If prostitution is OK, where do you draw the line. Is incest OK? What about beastiality? What about sex w/ children? Or do you contend that any law which restricts personal restraint is "religious"?

I believe there is such a thing as moral decency, or traditional values which have been long held dear by mankind. These values have helped us in our path towards civilization. I don't need TV nor religion to help me understand that man should not be free to act out whatever he sexually desires.

How condescending of you. You know what is best for everybody and want to make it law. I prefer to mind my own business.
You must feel that if it's fun, it's evil. You should move to Saudi Arabia. Life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness, on approval of local religious authorities. Wars about whose version of a delusion is correct.
Religion has held back the progress of civilization at least a thousand years. Civilization progresses by getting rid of such nonsense. Or maybe we shouldn't study science, and let millenia-old manuscripts become the law of the land. People knew so much more 2000 years ago.

Consenting adults' private behavior doesn't concern me. All citizens should be treated equally.
