Canceled Reality Shows post #1  quote:

2 Reality TV shows have been canceled before their end. The first to go was Last Comic Standing with just 2 or 3 episodes remaining. As I understand it, there are plans to broadcast the remaining episodes probably on the Comedy Channel.

The other Reality show to be canceled was the Benefactor with one or two shows left remaining.

My question is, what happens when they cancel these shows. Do they still give out the prize? Or do they say, oh well sorry about your luck?

The Benefactor post #2  quote:

Benefactor run cut; producer says three episodes will be compressed into one.

October 13, 2004

"ABC will end the run of the unscripted series starring tech billionaire/Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban on Monday, Oct. 25, a week ahead of its scheduled finale, the network says. The early end date, combined with a pre-emption this week for a '20/20' special on the death of Christopher Reeve, means "The Benefactor" will run for six episodes, two less than its initial order of eight.

The finale will be shown this Saturday at 8pm ET on Comedy Central (the time slot that would normally be the repeat of the NBC show).

- benefactor, its sad i never heard of that show, lol. maybe thats why its being cancelled, then again, i do remember a preview for the first episode. they still give the prize, because its not live. soo all shows reality based atleast are pre-taped, soo they already recieved there prize. whether it was shown on tv or not. but anyway, does anyone remember that show that was hosted by monica luenski (spell check) where the guys would use masks to hide faces, and the girl eliminated them? did that show ever get cancelled? i think i watch about 2 episodes. what was that show called.... hmmm.

The Will was canceled after receiving the worst ratings in TV History. 2.8

Is this the beginning of the demise of Reality TV. Sure some will survive others will not. I believe what Reality TV did for Television is it forced Writers of regular TV shows to make shows more popular with better quality writing. Forced Quality!

That show was called "Mr. Personality" It did finish and there was a winner, but none other ever aired. It wasn't the best
I've ever seen, but was considerably better than some.
