post #123  quote:

I Haven't been here for months...
I just take a minute to develop a 2fold argument that i haven't heard anybody discuss.
1) bin laden is a chess player. he never tried to take on the usa militarily, he is trying to bringing us down economically! It was a well set trap to bring us out of our cave. We did not "smoke him out", he smoked us out!We spend a t a rate that will put us in a hole in no time. Nobody can spend that much and not pay the price for it. The argument of the reagan years is stupid. We got lucky that there was just a computer revolution to reinject money in the economy. You cannot play the future of a nation at the Roulette every 20 years.

Instead of overspending money in a war against phantoms, let's find a new source of fuel. If the oil is no longer our fuel, the middle east cease to be a threat because there is no longer money with which they can fund their terrorist activity with. they will simply dissapear of the international scene and go back to their mosque. And we won't have to maintain a military presence over there which seems to annoy them a lot...

2) While we are focusing all our attention on the middle east, there is an ennemy far more powerful that stands right behind our shoulder : China.

Because we are borrowing money to china to finance our huge debt, (instead of borrowing from europe for a question of face), we are giving away any possibility to exert pressure on china when they will start acting ruthlessly. I predict that right after the olympics, china will invade Taiwan, because they will no longer care about people showing up to their little fiesta anymore.

Instead we are giving them an incredible leverage over us. And they really do not need that.
May I remind you the current state of our trade balance : china : export = 37 billion/month; usa : 7 billion/ month....
They are growing so fast and we are becoming weaker at the same lightspeed rate!
In 10 years, they will be the leader of the world! and we will be ****ed because we had a government with a onesided stategy for everything...
Always look behind your back, never put all your eggs in the same basket.
simple common sense could lead us to better choices...or a better reading of history. If we had inqired into the vast sum of experiences of ' old Europe", we would have discovered that the French got ****ed in vietnam and in the middle east way before we did...I find that incredibly ironic that the people we were the most at odds with when the war started were the ones that could have taught us the more about it!
But we are so arrogant, and unwilling to learn. we are right now stuck in an emotional response and therefore showing the intelligence of a 3 year old.
Tantrums never get you anywhere, on the contrary you usually get punished for them!

Hmm, are you in the right forum? This is Unfit For Command.

Now if you wish to discuss this then you really are talking about our Alliances.

I have a thread devoted to that Mending our Countries Alliances or go to Ron's thread on Iraq.

If you want to stay here I need some time to research in order to answer you.

I know this isn't about John Kerry which, is the topic of this thread.
I have no problem with China growing to an industrial and economic power house, so long as they are no militarily agressive. As China grows, so does their economy. When is comes to fruition, there won't be as much trade as the cost of goods and labor will increase. They will be fueling their own economy and less fueling of ours. 10 Years? More like 20.

You're not dumb. Stop trying to twist my words. I never characterized Native Americans as drunks and gamblers. I did point out that they have been marginalized and "tossed a bone" as consolation. Alcoholism is an expected outcome when you have been down-trodden for centuries. Abuse leads to low self esteem and, in the end, self-abuse. Reservations and casino licences are an insulting appeasement. If you did not glean this from my previous post, perhaps it was too sarcastic.

Listen up, your wording lacked feeling and was in contempt thats why I flew up at you.

I do agree with the basics of what you are really saying,so don't faint. I appreciate now that you took time to explain your self, that I am in agreement with the basis of your thinking.

Lets start after the holiday, a new thread, where we can post our ideas, and not be off topic.

I was thinking about Much Ado About Nothing.
You game?
You game H@ts?
The rest? We need to give this thread a goodbye and go on and argue about issues that are important to us and not be constantly Off topic.

EA I wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving,.Same to all

Sincerely,

I have an answer to your article EA, we have a similar situation here in La. Our former governor Edwin Edwards is serving time in the Big house for doing the same thing as Scanlon and assoc did to the Indians. Here too it was over casino licensing and he just got caught by wiretapping. H eis in his 70's a rogue of a man, everyone here still loves him. It is asinine the man was a thief. as are your participants in the Indian Massacre. Sad Sad, So much going on in our world we have no control over.

I KNOW THIS IS OFF TOPIC, but if you go back a few pages and compare some the verbal vilence with the way we are now conversing.....We came a long way....now, we are thinking.......now we are starting to make the difference.
There might have been and still is some verbal agressivity, but at least nobody is been a hypocrit.

No thanks giving on the side of the moon. Enjoy yours !!!

Unfit For Command Author to seek seat post #130  quote:

'Unfit for Command' Author Considers Challenging Kerry in Senate Race

John Kerry's nightmarish challenge by his Swift Boat veterans and their allies may not be over.

NewsMax recently chatted with Jerry Corsi, the co-author with Swiftee John O'Neill of "Unfit for Command" – the runaway New York Times best seller that torpedoed Kerry's presidential campaign.

Attending a conference in the suburbs of Washington recently, Corsi let it be known that he is actively considering a run against Sen. Kerry when his term is up.

Corsi is not a Massachusetts native, but says he has already scouted for property to declare his residence there.

He appeared excited about the challenge. Federal law allows him to declare his candidacy at any time and open up a full fusillade against the Senate's most liberal member.

Corsi thinks his criticisms of Kerry will be well received in the state that elected Republican Mitt Romney. Even Bush fared better in Massachusetts in 2004 against its home state candidate than he did against Gore in 2000.

Corsi also notes that his Italian-Irish ancestry will give him an edge in a state given to ethnic voting. Kerry is neither Irish nor Italian, Corsi notes.

As word has circulated about a possible candidacy, Corsi says he has been flooded with e-mails of support.

Corsi said he has read news reports that Kerry is considering a lawsuit against him, O'Neill and the Swift Boat Vets.

Presumably the suit would be for defamation. The New York Post's Page Six quoted a top aide to Kerry saying the senator would need to file such a suit if he has any prayer of making a presidential bid in 2008. Incredibly, Kerry is said to be considering such a run.

Corsi said he and O'Neill have discussed the possibility of the lawsuit, and both said they might offer to pay Kerry for the FedEx charges to serve them with any court papers.

"Quote me: Bring it on!" Corsi said with a chuckle.

Just saw Hannity and Colmes and they had a Swift boat Vet on the show.

Oddly enough after the story broke about Kerry's lies, this man I believe his name was Gardner was fired, let go. 24 hours before he had been commended for doing a great job. As soon as Brinkley published the story the man was"let go" Odd too the employer is Democrat

He has also been terrorized with threats by the Democrats to sift into his financial records and pull up something bad about him.
Hey you people who think you belong to a democratic party are just fooling your selves.
The Veteran is suing his employer and says he is not afraid of any threats made.
What a bunch of Bull Sh@t, here is Vietnam Vet who was on the very same boat with Kerry who says Kerry lied about everything and now he is the object of tyranny
