It's amazing to me that in this day and age, with the belief of evolution so rampant, people STILL tend to make themselves out to be better than other people... I figured that if we truly believe in evolution, that wouldn't be the case, but it appears to be.... Racism is only ONE aspect of this...
I don't know if it's fear or stupidity Sierra, it's a damn shame that there are still people like that in the world. I like that line from the movie Bulworth: "Everybody should f*** everybody until we're just one color."
I mean really, we're all the same on the inside anyway, right?
Holy War....You're basically killing each other to see who's got the better imaginary friend. - Richard Jeni
"Everybody should f*** everybody until we're just one color."
I love that line too!
But, I guess it's all dependent on one's perception of differences. Me, I think it would be boring if we were all the same. I enjoy diversity.
But to some people "outsiders" are unwelcome and differences are scary and threatening. I think that these people are weak. If someone being different is perceived as a threat to your way of life, and you need that "consensus", then I think that your convictions, values, or beliefs must not be very strong.
"What one believes to be real, will be real in it's concequences"
"You must be the change you wish to see in the world"
