Hey gaboman, that pic you posted of what Christ may have looked like, that's about how I have pictured him.
Kinda. My church always said he was Jewish, and not real good looking, just a normal guy of the times.
(Judas had to kiss him to point him out to the gaurds, he couldn't just say the tall long haired fellow with blue eyes)
However, I have him pictured these years as hollywood ugly, someone like Mathew Broderic (Ferris Beulller). That pic you posted , he was even more plain that I imagined.
I'm a white feller, I don't have a problem with the messiah being of another race. (Jewish or semitic) We must admit though, that some whites have kind of morphed Christ into a white guy. "Some" radical blacks are trying to do the same. But not many, it's a hard sell.
Anyhow, this is how I picture him now, after he asended. He looks like a comic book hero. So far beyond what we are now, it's silly for other races to want to claim his human form.

I don't care what Christ looked like, and I'm sure that's not important anyways. What's important is what he DID. His true countenance will be revealed in due time, and I'm sure that those who are trying to take ownership of Jesus' accomplishments through ethnicity aren't recognizing that Jesus IS GOD. We aren't in LEAGUE with him as an ethnic partner. He is GOD. He could have come as a turtle, and we'd probably STILL be trying to link him to us through Evolutionary Theory. I think it's pathetic to be honest. We don't NEED to recognize his race, or even his gender. ONLY his accomplishments and his teachings, as well as his sacrifice and his TITLE. NOTHING else seems important.
I mean, let's say that it turns out Jesus, WAS black. What then? Attack the whites for making him one of their own? Rebuke them for taking racial ownership of Jesus, even though we fought to get that same ownership back? It makes no sense, since he's God anyway.
malcolm_xx is 100% correct that this film is racist. Just consider the evidence:
1. Black Jews, Sammy Davis Jr. and Whoopi Goldberg prove that JC was black.
2. Israelites were enslaved in Egypt by "The Man." Only blacks have ever been slaves.
3. JC himself:
***turned the water into malt liquor
***turned the bread into water melon
***joined his posse for the last fried chicken supper
***was actually hung by soldiers white sheets
Help control the animal population: Have your terrorist spade or neutered.
