"Trump-Size Deal for 'Apprentice"

Kwame Jackson is starting to look less like an "Apprentice" and more like Donald Trump. The runner-up in the first season of the NBC reality show "The Apprentice" has completed a multibillion dollar real-estate deal of his own.

With two other partners, Jackson has made a deal with officials in Prince George's County in Maryland to develop an 80- to 130-acre area into commercial and residential property.

The deal is worth $3.8 billion and will provide over 32,000 jobs, Jackson said.

"For me, 'The Apprentice' was the beginning," he told The Associated Press Tuesday.

"It's not a ceiling, it's a floor."

In developing one of the nation's more affluent black counties, "We believe in being catalysts in what we call the second generation of the civil rights movement," Jackson said.

His company, Legacy Development Partners, also plans production of an executive menswear line and a network TV show.

Ok Thats great and all BUT....how much money did he get for comming in second place (I heard he got like 100,000). If so, I know he started his own company and that easy. BUT how in the world does he get a 3.8 billion $ deal????? even with two partners thats still alot of money to put down (25% with no intrest penelty ~ doing the math based on expected gross worth is 950,000,000) to commericalize 80-130 acre property?

WTF? I have $500,000 cash in the bank.....SHIOW ME THE DEAL, WHERE DO I SIGN?!?! lol

So Now You Want What Kwame Has Too? post #2  quote:

You're motivated, but Kwame has his own investment banking gameplan in the scheme of high finance. The Donald lost his BIGGEST opportunity. How for you, if ready, able and willing? Kwame's makes money for his partners... and one day will go public to make money for his shareholders. You can either $$$$ go venture capitalists now on the ground floor (if you can stand and wait in line) or invest in his IPOs one day $$$$ down the road.

SHIOW ME THE DEAL, WHERE DO I SIGN?!?!

That's what separates Kwame from the rest. He's a "Go-getter" and Business Tycoons are lining up to go after him (and so many here misread this complicated personality accusing him of being lazy, without initiative, too quiet, incompetent and a host of other inaccurate characterizations - you find it reading this BB.)

He could have signed on the dotted line and become Billionaire Mark Cuban's Chief Executive arm of that financial empire, and Kwame rejected the lucrative offer most aspiring job seekers coveted. He could have signed at least a dozen highly attractive job offers, much better than Trump's measely position offered, but it wasn't about GETTING a job but more about BUILDING a future and making THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE. For him, it's about leaving a legacy and his company name gives us an insight: "Legacy Development Partners." Instead, Kwame dictated his own terms and followed his heart, consistent with his head being a financial whiz-kid.

How you asked Kwame did it? From his unique blend of multiple talents in building powerful Brand, Alliances and Partners. Wanna see his best friend tried and true make multi-millions for which he will INVITE to become partners of his start-up company? Here's what I wrote about Kwame 1/25/04 at the Beginning of Last Season's Apprentice Competition: < -- Just Click Here

I sense that he will be more sucessful as a black entrepreneur and will rival some of the best around him. He just has to find his "actualization" with the right product at the right time at the right marketplace.

He's a natural. When his company goes public one day..... buy the emerging stock. Remember the name is Kwame Jackson, the next business tycoon.

Kwame's Rosewood Multi-Billion Dollar Development post #3  quote:

Oh, The Donald is still looking for financing for his billion dollar Chicago project that hasn't secured construction money yet. Perhaps, he might want to hire Kwame to show him The Art Of Financing Multi-billion Dollar Deals.

If you want more information, here's an excerpt from Press Release of Maryland's Governor Erlich 8/25/04. < -- Just Click Here

quote:
According to Jackson: "I am a native son of the area, born in Washington DC where my family resided until I was eight. Since appearing on 'The Apprentice', one of the most important lessons I learned from Donald Trump is that real estate can be one of the most successful vehicles for the production of wealth. More importantly, this project is about creating a lasting legacy of African-American entrepreneurialism on a grand scale, with a focus on ownership."
Rosewood, whose name pays tribute to the flourishing African-American community in Florida, which was destroyed in 1923, is intended to reflect what the historic Rosewood might look like today. The property consists of approximately 500 acres and the collaborative effort to begin building this community of residential, commercial and government properties is projected to commence in 2006.

Kwame explains, "My experience on 'The Apprentice' and meeting Donald Trump provided a wonderful platform and unparalleled exposure to launch a number of business ventures. My focus now is to go from being an employee to an employer, and the show provided the 'gut check' and "sounding board" I needed to make this move."

Kwame Jackson will receive an Entrepreneurship award from the Small Business Administration and Minority Business Development Agency on September 10th in Washington, DC.

Legacy Development Partners LLC was created with Jackson's long-time friends and business partners Erik Moses and David Smith who convinced Kwame to try out for "The Apprentice." Together the trio hopes to build a legacy for future generations to come. "The magnitude of this deal is tremendous for us and we are proud to be working with so many talented individuals on a project right outside the nation's capital. We aspire to make a highly impactful entree into big time real estate development, setting the stage for future projects to come" explains Erik Moses, President of Legacy Development Partners LLC.
