This is my prediction on how the 2004/2005 premiership will finish.
1. Arsenal
2. Chelsea
3. Man Utd
4. Liverpool
5. Newcastle
6. Middlesbourgh
7. Fulham
8. Bolton
9. Charlton
10. Birmingham
11. Aston Villa
12. Blackburn
13. Man City
14. Southampton
15. Portsmouth
16. Tottenham
17. West Brom
18. Everton
19. Norwich
20. Crystal Palace
I predict that tonight Portsmouth will defeat Tottenham.
It won't be a big scoreline but Portsmouth have the best home record in the premiership, except for Arsenal and it has been about 26 games since our last no score draw.
These are my predictions for the up coming premiership matches over the weekend:
Arsenal vs. Southampton - I think Southamptons lack of strikers will be an essential problem for them. Arsenal will be wanting to get back on track after their recent loss to Man Utd.
Prediction - Arsenal win
Blackburn vs. Liverpool - This will be a hard faught match from both sides. Blackburn are bottom and struggling for points and Liverpool are fighting for a European place. Neither side will go into this match wanting to loose.
Prediction - draw
Bolton vs. Newcastle - With Jay Jay Okocha back Bolton will have extra confidence and being one of the better starters to this premiership season they will be hard to beat. Newcastle have not lost under Graeme Souness and have hit a run of form because of this.
Prediction - draw
Crystal Palace vs. Birmingham - I think it will be a draw. Birmingham don't travel well and palace fight for points so it wont be a pretty match for the most part.
Prediction - goal less draw
Charlton vs. Middlesbourgh - Charlton have not hit the same form as they had last season and are quite low in the table. Middlesbourgh have one of the in-form strikers in Jimmy Floyd Hasselbank and Mark Viduka can never be counted out.
Prediction - Middlesbourgh win
Fulham vs. Tottenham - Fulham are not as strong as they wee last year and Tottenham have had a good start to the season. Tottenham however have hit a loosing streak after the defeat at Pompey.
Prediction - Draw
Portsmouth vs. Manchester United - At Fratton Park Portsmouth have one of the best records in the country. recently they have become one of the main entrtainers of the premiership and no game at Fratton this season has been dull. It has been over 27 games since Portsmouths last goal less draw. Man Utd are coming out of a good win against Arsenal and a win in the cup. Their confidence will be high and Sir Alex's side will go for the win. Harry Redknapp's side likely will go for the win. Each side is capable of scoring and conseeding goals.
Prediction - Draw
West Brom vs. Chelsea - West Brom have lost their manager and now face one of the table toppers. Despite this the Baggies will put up a figh and wont give Chelsea an easy ride. Chelsea will want to do all they can to close the gap between them and Arsenal.
This is my prediction for the outcome of the 2005/06 season
1. Chelsea
2. Arsenal
3. Man Utd
4. Liverpool
5. Bolton
6. Tottenham
7. Aston Villa
8. Newcastle
9. Charlton
10. Birmingham
11. Middlesbourgh
12. Everton
13. Portsmouth
14. Man City
15. Fulham
16. Blackburn
17. Wigan
18. West Ham
19. West Brom
20. Sunderland
Heres my picks. It pains me to put the enemy of football on top but we have to start with..........
1 Chelsea
2 Man U
3 Arsenal
4 Newcastle
5 Liverpool
6 Charlton
7 Middlesborough
8 Everton
9 Aston Villa
10 Birmingham
11 Tottenham
12 Man City
13 Bolton
14 Blackburn
15 Fulham
16 Portsmouth
17 Sunderland
18 West Brom
19 Wigan
20 West Ham
Here is my prediction. First off it will all be over bar the maths by February. Here is the table as I see it.
1. Chelsea ( why god why)
2. Man. U
3. Liverpool
4. Arsenal
5. Newcastle
6. Everton
7. Man City
8. A. Villa
9. Spurs
10. M,Boro
11. Fulham
12. Charlton
13. Birmingham
14. Bolton
15. Portsmouth
16. Sunderland
17. Blackburn
18. Wigan
19. West Ham
20. West Brom
It looks likely that Sunderland will be joined by West Brom who have only picked up 2 points from a possible 18. I think that if Pompey win today at Charlton then West Brom are effectivly down.
Birmingham could be joining them if they loose against Blackburn and Everton and Pompey win against Charlton and Sunderland.
A new season brings a three new teams and more predictions with them. I am going to restructure this thread and say that the points will be decided by how many teams are in the right places and the final result of the season.
For example if you pick a team to finish in one of the European places then you would get one point for finishing in the European place and another point if the team finished in the position you said it would.
The same aplies to the relegated teams. If you get the right teams in the right positions then you would get one point for the team being relegated and a bonus for finishing in the correct position.
If a team you pick gets into Europe or relegated but finishes in a different position from where you said they would you would only get one point.
You also only get one point if the teams you pick to finish in positions 7 - 17 finish in the correct position that you chose.
If you are unsure of how this works then ask me before 11pm tomorrow night by British time. I will be starting the thread then.
Hmmmmmmmmm, interesting the first two posters start with...

Just over half way through the season and the Tabe is full of suprises. Pompey have been the biggest suprise of this season as they sit fifth and haven't fallen outside the top 6 all season, while at the bottom West Ham and Charlton are firmly rooted in the relegation zone and new comers Reading sit comfortably in mid-table.
The Premiership table, half way through the season, looks like this:
Team - - Games Played - - Goal Difference - - Points
The final Premier League table for 2006/07 season is as follows:
1 Man Utd
2 Chelsea
3 Liverpool
4 Arsenal
5 Tottenham
6 Everton
7 Bolton
8 Reading
9 Portsmouth
10 Blackburn
11 Aston Villa
12 Middlesbrough
13 Newcastle
14 Man City
15 West Ham
16 Fulham
17 Wigan
18 Sheff Utd
19 Charlton
20 Watford
