PS2 Hard Drive Kit? post #1  quote:

Is the only way to get a hard drive kit is to buy FFXI?

By "kit" I'm assuming there's some sort of drive rail that keeps the drive in place. I want to add a HHD to my PS2 but I dont want FFXI and dont want that crappy drive.

Is there a way to just buy the rail? Or a better drive and rail together?

Thanks!

Ok, nevermind. I get it. The offical Sony NIC is what redirects the power and interface through the NIC port. Along with holding the drive.

Crap! That means I wasted $20 on my USB NIC. Oh well.
