Post Hinduism And Matrix Similarities post #1  quote:

Hello Everyone,
I have read through this website about our hinduism http://www.hinduism.co.za/ and found many similarities between the story and our philosophy and religious texts. The interprtations are very much a revalations. Although the movie has many similarities with other religions also, I have just put forward hindu perpspective.

Did you know that the Wachowskis were interested with Buddhism? So it explains why there is so much Hinduism within the movie.

OK, thats what must have inspired them to make the movie so deep. They have grasped the concept of reality completely, atleast for the movie.

hah, I doubt they've grasped the concept of reality completely.

In the end these are movies which have lots of little things for people to come up with their own theories.
Rather open ended to be honest.

I for one think we all need to stop and smell the roses more. Spirituality and the spiritual meanings in the movies are satisfying as they inspire plenty of thought. Open ended is good as people can take whatever they want from the movies - you have CHOICE! Choice is not an illusion. I guess this is why there were so many well argued aspects of the movies as we took different viewpoints. Since choice is a big theme of the movies, I see why the film-makers had to leave the ending open to interpretation rather than being absolutely clear cut. Very few of us belive Neo was still alive at the end (heartbeat) and Merv was the ruler - but those are my interpretations. I better go get my candles and insence sticks now - Sunday evening calls for some good relaxation.

The funniest music video in the world is Eminem - Without Me, when Elvis is sitting on the toilet, reaches in and pulls out a sandwich and eats it - where did that come from? roflmao

Well they have not got the concept literally . But yes from movie point of view they have put it in quite commendable way., their is no doubt about it. The concept of reality is not that easy to understand. We can have many pages of disscussion in that regards yet may not arrive at a single point of agreement.

Ah but you reach a stage where choice IS an illusion.
We can only act within the constraints and frameworks of the physics that bind us.
There is an action, we react to it... we can only react in certain ways and we are bound by our own likelihood to react in a certain way.
