Diagon Alley = DI-agun Alley

Dobby = DAUB-ee

Draco Malfoy = DRAY-co MAL-foy

en suite = ON sweet

Erised = AIR-i-sed

Errol = AIR-il

Eyelops = Eye-lops

Fawkes = Fox or Forks (depends on what part of England you are from)

Firenze = Fear-ENZ

Flamel = Fla-MEL, Nicholas

gateau = ga-TOE

Ginny = JIN-nee (shortened name of Virginia)

gnomes = nomes

Gryffindor = GRIFF-in-door

Hagrid = HAG-rid

Hermes = HER mees

Hermione = Her-MY-oh-nee or Her-My-knee

knuts = nuts (British) or K'noots (American)

Lucius Malfoy = LOO-cius or LOO-shus MAL-foy

McGonagall = ma-GONE-a-gull

Madam Malkin = Madam MAL-kin

mauve = Mowve (same purple color)

Majorca = Ma-YOR-ka (Spanish resort)

Mirror of Erised = Mirror of AIR-i-sed

Muggles = MUG-els

Neville = NEV-ill

Oy! or Oi! = OI! as in BOY! (means Hey You!)

Patronus = Pa-TRONE-us

pasty = PAST-ee (short "a" like in FAST)

Penelope = pe-NEL-o-pea

Pomfrey = POM-free

Privet Drive = PRi-vet (short "i" like in TRIVET)

Quidditch = KWID-itch

Rubeus = ROO-bee-us

row = rao rhymes with "cow"

Seamus Finnigan = SHAY-mus FIN-i-gan

Scabbers = SCAB-ers (short a sound)

Sirius Black = SEAR-ee-ous or SIGH-russ Black

Slytherin = SLiTH-er-in (short i sounds)

traipsed = TRAYpst

Voldemort = VOLE-de-mort The French words: Vol = flight; mort = dead, which would mean this name translates as "Flight of Death" (Thank-you Prof. Dunbavand!) In France, one would not pronounce the "t" at the end.
