How do you rate your Health Care? post #1  quote:

I think that most people in the US would consider Health-care, one of the big issues in this country. I am curious to the opinions of others and I would love to hear from the people who live in countries where health-care (medical coverage) is free and provided to all citizens. Everyone, please comment!

Well, one of the choices is on there twice but, I'm going to start the discussion here considering no one has voted.

This is what really bothers me:

I go to get a new prescription filled the other day and I'm told that my health insurance will not cover the prescription unless I've tried some other drug first! THEN, they call my doctor's office and they call the insurance company to get it approved. BUT, I go to pick it up and although my doctor wanted me to take two pills a day, the insurance company will only cover one a day! This whole process took a week.

So basically, my despite what my doctor thinks is best for me, the insurance company has the final word. This is really reassuring because I'm sure that all of the corporate folk over at he insurance company have medical degrees and are more educated regarding my health needs.

hmm...maybe this should have gone in the flamers ward...
