So I'm considering heading up to Montauk and walking around the base, as a few other people do, to see if they can find anything weird there.
Would anyone here know anything current about the base? Basically it's Area 51 except instead of aliens, it was rumored to have more time travel and dimensional type experiments by the government. Any comments or help would be appreciated; stories, advice, anything.
it really wouldnt suprise me if there were something unorthodox going on in that base. not neccesarily time travel, being as that seems a little bit sci-fi still, but maybe high-speed travel? Like warp drives, and other things that will go hundreds of lightyears a second. OR i could be completely off, your choice
I grew up in South County, Rhode Island which is located across Long Island Sound from Montauk. One day while a friend and myself were sitting on the steps of a beach pavillion, we saw a visual anomaly occur offshore. The time frame was the early 80's. The anomaly occurred in a position that was just east of Montauk. As we sat there we began to see something emerge from the water approx. 15 miles offshore. It was gray-colored and massive. Much larger than any ship conceivably could have appeared. It emerged slowly and rose to a massive height over the next 10-15 minutes. It would appear that it elevated to about 200' or so. It's shape remained perfectly straight as it rose. It resembled a huge platform of sorts that protruded from the sea. After wathching this spectacle for about 20 minutes the image began to slowly dissipate. At the time of the viewing I had no knowledge of the Montauk facility. But after learning of the facility I put 2+2 together. To this day I have no rational explanation for what I witnessed.
