Well it really depends on your level of riding and how agressive you cut is to the wake.

Also depends on what style of riding you like. If it is wake to wake you must figure out what length allows you to land your tricks in the trough.

Now if you like to have a lot of slack in the rope and your doing huge tricks with spins lengthen the rope according too.

For a girl is is a good idea to start out with a shorter rope and them as you progress extend the length.
