Man, Spike TV was having a DS9 marathon for a week, starting with the first episode and going through to 'The Search, pt. 1 & 2'.
I forgot how much I liked this series. Sadly the marathon stopped at the third season, where DS9 took off big time. The last four seasons where excellent.
Watching it again for the first time (sans reruns when the series originally aired), it angers me that Voyager was so inferior.
I say that DS9 season 4, 5, and 6 were better than TNG's. While DS9's 7th season ruled, TNG's 7th wrapped up a lot of loose ends really nicely. Even though DS9 went out with a bang, to me TNG edged it out. But DS9's 'Way Of The Warrior' two-parter was better than ALL of Voyager. Did I mention I hated Voyager.
I don't think Odo and Kira should have gotten together either. Bashir - Ezri Dax was lame too.
The way the show ended was really interesting, having the Captain in limbo, Odo joins the link, O'Brien goes back to Earth, Worf bails, Kira runs the station.
We need a TV movies to tie up loose ends. No one from that show is working that much. I wonder if the actors that play Bashir & Kira are still together.
I got season 6 & 7 from EBAY for an insanely cheap price. I've been watching the episodes with the war arc lately and just got to the first few episodes of season 7. It's really fun to watch these episodes again for the first time. Anyway, I remembered a problem I had with the way they introduced Ezri Dax. When she first gets to the station, she is all lame and just says to Worf, "we need to talk." COME ON! Lame.
Haha, wasn't there an early episode where Jadzia macked the current host of one her past husband/wives? The current host, btw, was a chick too. Girl on girl wormie action. Gotta love it.
