Attention Newbies/rookies post #1  quote:

Help!
The Star Trek forum has sadly died a slow and painful death. We need some new blood in here to help resurrect it.

If your a rookie or a newbie, don't worry about it! Post away and help get this forum moving again. (for that matter, post away in the other forums too, folks won't judge you for your low post count.)

Welcome Trekkies!

You could have kept it going if you wanted, Whidden. You could have continued that story I had started, or you could have started your own. There are a lot of exciting episodes coming up in the latest series, and we can discuss those.

Here's something which will keep the ST forum going : Who's your favourite actor/actress throughout the Star Trek franchise?
Who's the best looking babe/hunk (your preference)? Who's your favourite captain and why? Is Seven of Nine foxier than T'Pol? If so, why? Who's your favourite ship doctor? Favourite episode of all time throughout the franchise?

Feel free to add to the list!

The_Rebel

PS : By the way, my answers to the above questions are :

Captain Janeway; Jadzia Dax; Janeway - she's got the heart of a lion and nerves of steel whilst retaining her feminine charms and vulnerability;Yes, because she IS; The Doctor from Voyager - because he's bald and has a wicked sense of humour; I'll have to seriously ponder over the last question - it's a tough call to make since there are so many that I love. Later!

I couldn't stop looking at Seven's boobs. I mean, they're huge! I couldn't buy her character all that well, she wa waaaaaaaay too hot.

Jadzia Dax was hot, but she was smart. Her uniform wasn't skin tight either.

Janeway, to me, lost more and more credability each season. I lost all respect for the character when the series ended.

I think Riker kicked butt in TNG. The whole cast was really good though.

The more I think about Voyager and watch Enterprise, the more I miss DS9. I enjoyed the whole cast. There wasn't one person that I couldn't stand or wasn't fleshed out. Even the enemies worked really well. Wish I could say the same for Voyager. But on DS9, I looked forward to Sisko and Odo the most.

Yup, Heck, 7 of 9 had unnaturally gargantuan boobies. And add to that her infinitessimally narrow hips, I believe the result is the epitome of a barbie-doll in real life. But for some reason, to me others like Jadzia, Deanna, Kes or Ro were more appealing.

Did anyone notice that the film American History X (with Edward Norton) had two former Star Trek regulars in it - Sisko and Kes?

Marina Sirtis and Michelle Forbes are hot too. I think Jeri Ryan is hotter, but I agree that her character wasn't as appealing as Troi or Ro, even Kira for that matter.

I saw American History X, I forgot there were some Trek alumn's in it. 'Loaded Weapon 1' had Bill Shatner and James Doohan (cameo) in it.

I suppoe to the star trek forum I am a rookie but I don't watch it that much anymore. I suppose I stopped watching it after they stopped making the Voyager episodes.

I liked all the star treks before that but I just can't get into this new one, I don't now why...

I don't know. I like this series a lot, even though I don't watch it as much as I would like to. I think it offers a very fresh perspective on the early relationship between humans and other species (Vulcans and Klingons) and how the humans (later the Federation) started to grow rapidly to become one of the dominant powers in the galaxy.

It is also quite fun to see how the Vulcans were really snobbish and controlling in the beginning. Not at all like the best friends Spock and Jim.

I find it humorous to see the orginal Star Trek series to see how it compares to TNG, DS9, Voyager and, now, Enterprise. The computer lights, the sounds, etc. were really good for an early attempt, and certainly had me believing it was real!

Not to mention you were young and easily impressionable.

No seriously, I think that they were quite good for their time.

And as for beautiful women, Star Trek: The Original Series had a flock of them. It seemed that almost every show had a gorgeous woman dressed in scantily-clad costumes that must have sent the censors at the time into shock!

And Jim having fun.

I just ran across a site called poobala.com that has a list of "crossovers" between various shows.

This page here

http://www.poobala.com/standenterprise.html

has a ramble about "Enterprise" ... a suggestion for a true crossover/connection, between Enterprise and Quantum Leap ... and at the bottom a list of what the webmaster says are "crossovers".

I thought/hoped you devotees might find something interesting.
