GRAMMY superstar Justin Timberlake is set to star in a film called Edison with Morgan Freeman and Kevin Spacey.
Timberlake will play a journalist who teams up with a district attorney's top investigator and a burned-out hack to help bring down a corrupt group of police officers.
Pop hunk Justin Timberlake caused a stir in Vancouver, Canada, recently, when he was spotted in a cafe that sells bongs and pipes.
The clean-living singer is currently in the city shooting his first movie, the crime thriller "Edison," and was spotted in smoke shop Blunt Bros. Cafe, which features Stoner's Salad and Jamaican Blunts on its food menu.
But an onlooker is quick to point out he was merely scouting locations for his new film.
The source says, "He didn't buy anything, I swear. He was only checking out different camera angles."
"Justin is involved with every last detail. He doesn't want a repeat of 'Crossroads' or 'Glitter.'"
Hot celebrity couple Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake are so desperate to star together in the same movie, the actress has asked her pal Drew Barrymore to find a suitable script for them.
Diaz, 31, was so impressed with her beau's acting skills on the set of his debut movie, "Edison," she's now sought the advice of producer Barrymore.
A close friend of the couple says, "Cameron has spoken to Drew as a friend and because she's such a hot-shot producer.
"Justin has really impressed Cameron with his keenness to get into film, and they both said how great it would be to do something together.
"Drew think's it's a great idea and she's promised to help."
"Edison" is currently filming in Toronto, Canada, and is due out next year.
