I thought that we could start a thread about trips that we're getting ready to take. Let's see how this turns out... share with us any plans that you might have while on your vacation/holiday.
Heidi and I are leaving on Thursday... we're flying up to San Francisco. Going to spend 5 days up there.
We really don't have any huge plans... but, my mother-in-law does have one gathering planned.
Since Saturday is Valentines Day, she's having the entire family, and some friends over for a noon'ish brunch.
Her and her boyfriend (who are both GREAT cooks) are doing the entire meal... and we're starting off with dessert first. Can't wait to see, and taste, what they are going to serve.
We're all going to exchange valentines cards, like when you were in elementary school. I bought a box of Harry Potter cards, and Heidi got cats and dogs (since she's a vet nurse).
We are each bringing a gift ($10.00) for a gift exchange... that will be a fun game.
Afterwards, my mother-in-law has her masseuse coming over, and one at a time, we will be taken in the back yard for a massage!!!!
So... I'm really looking forward to this trip up north. Just getting away from the stresses of work.

When I was in youth group, we went on trips every summer, and there was always a mission to them... whether we were in Canada, the east coast, Mexico or Hawaii.
Are you going to rebuild things? Take Bibles? Preach the word?
