I agree with Kimmiex3. Janet Jackson is everything that is wrong in today's society. What she did was wrong, degrading, demoralizing, and un-necessary. I heard it was an "accident". Give me a break. That was no accident, she knew exactly what she was doing and Justin Timberlake is no better than she is for going a long with it. The song itself was raunchy enough, especially their so called "dance moves". The fact that Justin pulled that teeny tiny piece of fabric off of her shirt to expose her breast was the icing on the cake.
I wonder would the reaction be different if it was Madonna's breast that was bared or Britney Spears or Christina A, becasue we expect it of those poeple? After lesbian kissing on the MTV awards for two years in a row (tATu, then Britney and Madonna) you would think Americans were ready for anything.
I just find it so hypocritical the nation that brought us TV shows like Temptation Island, Paradise Hotel, Who Wants to be a Playboy Bunny, etc etc and magazines like Playboy and Hustler, that you get so upset about one little half-covered nipple.
^^ Nude breasts are a tool of corruption, used by the evil & wicked to molest the minds of young children. Oh yeah, and they're the cornerstone to the fall of human civilization. Can't forget that.
Schmiggens- I think all female artists who have to degrade themselves to get attention are demoralizing. And the shows such as Temptation Island are the stupidest thing I've ever heard of. It's just an excuse for men and women to get raunchy on TV. Why is our society so obsessed with sex and things of a sexual nature? Besides, there's a place and time for nudity or half nudity and I don't believe the half time show at the super bowl qualifies.
Wow people get worked up over the smallest thing nowadays. So Janet Jackson exposed one of her breasts quick children cover your eyes you couold be permanently damaged, everyone destroy your TV sets because in showing a brest they must be the Devils tool out to corrupt Americas youth and while we are all shocked maybe Janet Jackson should bve deported to that place where one exposed breast does not shock people ( it is called the real world). You all may think I am going over the top? well these are all things that I hear people say about the incident.
People need to chill out and realx and realise that nobody has been corrupted or murderd or commited suicide because of it. So what is the problem?
The difference about the Janet & Justin stunt is thousands of children were watched the game. I am not surprised by the inappropriate acts which are conducted on other shows which you mentioned, however, I do have the ultimate control knowing this upfront. Their actions were inappropriate at the Superbowl.
