Is there a feud going on between Janet Jackson and Beyonce? Esssence Magazine is planning to do a music issue and they wanted to feature Janet, Beyonce and Mary J. Blige on the cover of the magazine. Beyonce said she would only do it if she got to pose in the middle of the photo well Essence has already promised it to Janet. Will the photo shoot happen?

Janet deserves to be in the middle because she actually HAS talent.
Janet has talent, but so does Beyonce, and it's almost foolish to say otherwise. Beyonce can sing Janet into orbit. Janet is a better dancer and performer than Beyonce. They are BOTH talented, but I'd agree that Janet deserves the middle spot (if that's so important, anyways...), because of her seniority and her established longevity in the business.
Speaking of spotlight pigs, did you SEE the super bowl halftime show??? What is everybody talking about regarding that show? P. Diddy performed, so did Kid Rock and Nelly. NO ONE will remember them as the standout performers for the 38th Super Bowl in Houston. JANET's tit will be remembered, and all the controversy surrounding it. That's being a spotlight pig also, isn't it?
It's just become the culture of artists nowadays... It's weird, but it works. We're all talking about it; we're all intersted in the story. Jackson's stunt was successful if only in that respect.

If you define talent as lipsyncing poorly, TRYING to dance like her brother, and stealing her personality from Madona... sure, you've got Janet Jackson.
If you define talent as having a great voice and doing ill with a wonderful talent by stooping to industry standards of pop and nudity... sure, you've got Beyonce.

umm, I don't know why you think Janet is a whore, she has been married to the same man for the past 15 years until he left her a few years ago and since then she has only had one partner that I know of.
Having seen Janet sing live, I think she can sing, she is an amazing performer, her shows are not just a woman on stage singing they are a theatrical performance and really enagaging and entertaining.
Jent has been around for so long now, shehas had numerous hit singles, albums and even movies, she has proved to the world she can sing and is not living in her brother's shadow.
I disagree to a certain degree with what she did at the Superbowl, but that doesn't diminish the respect I have for her as an artist and a performer. She had to struggle to get out from under the Jackson 5 and then Michaels shadow and I think she has made it.

Janet Jackson is a jack of all trades. She is a decent vocalist but a great entertainer and that's good considering she's in the entertainment business.
Beyonce is a jack of all trades as well but she is far beyond Janet in terms of vocal ability. She is a gifted singer whether you want to admit it to yourself or not. Her voice is definately one of her strongest assets. Beyonce is a very respectable young lady and I'm glad little girls have her as a roll model.

I have to agree Sierra. Janet has seniority for sure, she's been in the biz long enough.
She's not a "whore" any more than other fading pop stars who pull off desparate stunts to gain publicity. There are many more out there worse than her in that respect.
As far as the rest of the 1/2 time show, it was less than average, P Diddy, Nelly and Kid Rock performing songs from last year and before. It was a little old, if I hear it's getting hot in herre one more time I'm going to start taking hostages. But what I can't figure out is why P.Diddy can't devise a song without stealing lyrics and hooks from other songs. First there was "every breath you take" and now "Oh Diddy you're so fine, you're so fine you blow my mind"?? Come on man, work on your talent!

Besides, Janet always works with James Harris III and Terry Lewis. Even if she couldn't sing, the fantastic songs would hide it
P. Diddy... well, he had talent in 1991, maybe 1992 (I'll give him some credit for working with Jodeci and Mary J only). I think it kind've dwindled after that.
