Dan recently gave an interview to the French magazine "Total Star".
How is the atmosphere on the set of "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban"?
It's really good, I'm very glad to work again with Emma, Rupert, Tom and the others. We truly became friends since we met on the first film set. We have really good time together, and you can feel it on the set. We're all getting along very well with the new director, Alfonso Cuaron, too. I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to work with him and Chris Columbus. They are different, but really good in their own way. Chris knows exactly where he is going, he never doubts of himself, and he's certainly the most dynamic director I've ever met. He has also a great sense of humour and he really has inspired me. As for Alfonso, he's passionated and put the intensity of his emotions in the movie. His directing method inspires me a lot and help me to make progress as an actor.
Can you handle your studies and filming the movie?
Yes, I get a lot of help. With the help of a wonderful organization from the movie team, and the cooperation of my teachers, and my friends are here, so I can handle anything. I keep contact with my old school, with internet. The studies are really important for me and I won't stop studying for any reason in the world. And I'm doing pretty good with my work because I have a personal tutor. I'm very lucky, I study better in this way.
Will you be Harry again in "The Goblet of Fire"?
I know some people won't bet on it because iI've grown up and changd since the first Harry Potter, but Harry has grown too. So I really don't see what the problem is and I will be in the fourth film. But after that, I don't know, only the future can tell. I don't know if Emma and Rupert plan to be in the fifth film also. And, in fact, I don't know if it's a good thing if i do the whole saga because I'm so close to Harry, I feel so like him that I will maybe need therapy to handle this part! [laughing]
So you still have much in common with Harry?
Yes, I'm sure of that. I sometimes feel like the books are talking about me and not a character. Harry and myself are growing in a very similar way, and our friends are still very important to the both of us. As time has passed, I've noticed that we are looking more like each other. Our curious side is frequently getting us in to trouble.
Do you have other film projects where remove your "Harry" face?
The filming of every Harry Potter movie takes approximately 11 months a year, so I really doubt for the moment that I can do any other projects. But I would, of course, like to do other projects if I could. In fact, I really want to try to be a movie director, it interests me a lot.
What do you think of fame?
I'm still really surprised when I'm meet my fans, they are so supportive. People are so sweet and generous with me that I really feel privileged. This is amazing, I really wonder if I deserve all of it. Being a celebrity gave me the opportunity to travel and to discover fantastic places. But what I like the most is to see the finished movie. After we have worked so hard on it, to have given it so much energy, to have sharing such things because of it and to see people doing the same, it's so great to discover the result of what we have done. And I love signing autographs. The only problem is that my name is too long to write so I've decided to simply sign it "Dan R".
What do you like doing in your free time?
I'm a cinema and music fan. The Sex Pistols and the Clash are some of my favorite music bands, it gives you an idea of what I like listening to. I'm learning to play the bass and I bring it everywhere with me, and my portable DVD player and lot of movies. Except that...I feel like a normal teen. I go to school when I'm not filming, I go out with my friends, we have pizza parties, I go to cinemas... I'm not different from the others, and the fact people can recognize me in the street is not a problem for me. I'm still living like everyone else.
Um...i don't know if this means reply to dan, or reply in general. but anyway, i saw the third harry potter movie the day it came out, and it's brilliant. but, i had to wait until June 4th, but if i lived in England, i would've seen it May 31st and i wouldn't have had to wait the four days...i was so excited to see it, and it was what i thought it would be, and then some.

No, they don't accept ALL actors. That's something that has been stated since day one. They want English actors (except for those who are playing parts from other countries). And, there aren't ANY American's being given parts. If there was, there would be some pretty good acting in there.

I'm sure he doesn't, because the man is never on the internet! I really can't wait to meet him in person though. It will be fantastic.
