How would you have ended the trilogy if you could have done so differently? Personally, I was very satisfied with the ending because it forced me to fill in the blanks on my own--kind of like a great poem does--and it is also ripe for a multiplicity of interpretations for future discussions on these boards.
However, I would like some more information on the man who built the first matrix, as in how did he do it without the help of other people?
By the way, the rumor is that when the boxed set is released, all three films will have a running commentary form the Bros a la LOTR. Anyone heard anything on that?
Please use this thread for alternate endings only.
I haven't heard anything of this rumor, but i agree with you that the Matrix Trilogy was a masterpiece. It ended brilliantly, if it indeed did end. I wonder, if this is supposed to be a trilogy, but everyone keeps going on about Reloaded and Revolutions being one movie split apart, does that mean that we've only seen two of the three so far? Anyway, if i could have ended it a little differently, i would have had the super burly brawl last a little longer, with at least one scene made up completely of matrix code, even if only for a few seconds, just to keep us reminded. I also would have ended it with Rage Against the Machine, not because of any like for the band, but to keep with the 'kick authority's ass" theme.
And charash, think a little before you include quotes like that one, you god-lover. The educated are free, indeed, so what does that make you, Mr. Slave-to-Holy-Nothing?
"Do you believe you're fighting for something, for more than your survival? Can you tell me what it is, do you even know? Is it freedom or truth, perhaps peace - could it be for love? Illusions, Mr. Anderson, vagaries of perception. Temporary constructs of a feeble human intellect trying desperately to justify an existence that is without meaning or purpose."

was this entirely necessary? did it make you feel better? i'm just curious.
if you two (matrixfreak and charash) are only going to argue, please vent in the flamer's ward.
