I believe that the point of the entire Architect speech was to show Neo that being "The One" is not, in fact, a supernatural thing. Morpheus and the rest of Zion, including the ones who were treating Neo like a Messiah, treat "The One" like a godly, Christ-like figure, when actually the Architect explains that Neo is simply a 'systemic anomaly,' or, in other words, just the the one human mind out of the given number that has rejected the Matrix programming. Neo is nothing special in the Real World, despite what all of the inhabitants of Zion think. This is what the Architect was pointing out. Instead of being "The One," Neo just entirely rejects Matrix programming. Woo-hoo. In a similarly silly way, Morpheus and the rest of Zion refer to the Oracle as an 'Oracle,' when, in fact, the 'Oracle' is simply a computer program designed to investigate certain aspects of the human psyche. When Neo says "The Oracle" in reference to 'the mother of the Matrix,' the Architect says "Please" because it seems ridiculous to him that the humans would label an intuitive computer program as an "Oracle." The Wachowski brothers, I believe, are pointing out the foolishness of human beings and their constant want to create something to look up to. "The One" is not a messiah and "The Oracle" is not a prophet, simply put. Anyone think along those lines?
"Do you believe you're fighting for something, for more than your survival? Can you tell me what it is, do you even know? Is it freedom or truth, perhaps peace - could it be for love? Illusions, Mr. Anderson, vagaries of perception. Temporary constructs of a feeble human intellect trying desperately to justify an existence that is without meaning or purpose."
Humans cannot create anything to look up to--only God can create. Creation is the power to make something out of nothing--commonly know as ex nihilo: "out of nothing." As creatures, we are in a perpetual quest to return to our creator, just as Neo yearned to return to the source, and finally does so at the end of M3 at the cost of his life. That is the same price we all also must pay to return to the source of of creation. It is only through death that our biggest questions will be answered, and answered to us personally. In light of that, the way M3 ends is perfect, for we do not get all the answers we would like
to know--yet. Neo got his answers, however.
On another note, I think the reason Neo can still see after being blinded is because he has been there before, or that his "faith" is guiding him.
Are you okay? Do you need counseling? Take a look around, dude! Everyone knows this 'God' ******** is fake but you! There is no "returning to the source of our creation!" There is no "creation from nothing" unless you are talking of your invisible, supernatural father-figure or your silly fairytale messiah. Look within, not up, for the source of your power, charash. You can search for answers your entire life from the unseeable, unhearable, insubstantial, nonexistent 'heavenly father,' but until you realize that we are organisms crawling around on this dirtpile revolving around the sun destined to possess the same fate as every other organism on the planet (death and deletion from existence), you cannot possibly accept your true destiny and material reality. You are allowed to think for yourself. Don't be afraid. There are no gods to punish you. You will not be a blasphemer or a heretic if you look to the real and stop worshipping a book. You are your own god, wether you want to keep it that way or manifest it into a make-believe holyman in the sky.
"You have to let it all go, Neo. Fear...doubt...and disbelief.
Free your mind..." -morpheus, of course
