I really liked this movie too, I just don't think they need to get so many "action" scenes in there - for example Harry almost falling out of the flying car .. gheez, whatever .. or the forever quidditch play ..
but I love their settings (especially the burrow) .. and again, the actors -
by the way .. Dan and Tom are cute, that's true, but they are babies .. I really liked Sean Biggerstaff (Oliver Wood) .. he is hot .. especially during that one quidditch game (was it in the first or second movie?) when he does the flip in front of the goal hoops and then the look on his face ... aaaahh ..
Reading these reviews has made me realise how little appeal there is for guys is in the movie. Anyhow, the film was an improvement on the first, basically because it was so much darker. However, it still falls short of what Rowling would have wanted. A good try though.
Well, I don't think that it will ruin the book for you.
It's funny, but I completely seperate the two.
The only thing that I bring from the movies to the books is the way the actors look. I see them when I'm reading.
I would see it though... there are some great scenes. Like when they do the dueling club and Draco and Harry are on the table. That's really fun to watch. And the scene's with Fawkes. He is too cool. I want a Phoenix. Seeing Dumbledore's office... I liked that.
Overall, I say... see the movie!! It's worth it.

The movie was fantastic, but don't you think some action scenes weren't necesarry? Like the one when Harry almost falls out of Ford Anglia (and i dont remember reading it in the book*)? I mean, there was enough action in the book already, they didn't have to make scenes up. It made Harry look like an action hero, and it's not what the movie should've been about. But it was still GREAT. Yeah, Tom Riddle was SOOO hot. Huh. Well, Darth Vader was cute in his Anakin-Skywalker-phase too...
oh, why did they have to go to the Dark Side:-(
...
Okay, we just bought the CoS dvd last night! I know... I've been behind on buying my dvd's lately. Anyway... I watched it, and it's funny how now, it's just not as impressive as when I saw it in the theatre for the first time. It was good, don't get me wrong... but NO WHERE near what the book gives you.
Still, I really liked it. And I loved watching Dobby make the cake float from the kitchen and Harry trying to stop it... but, too late!! It was so funny.
Oh, and HOW does Hermione get up in to the boys dormroom, when it's been torn apart? I thought that there was a spell that keeps them from going up each other's hallways! Or, is it just for the boys, to keep them from the girls dormrooms?
:::>^..^<::: ~*~The Journey is more important than the end or the start~*~ :::>^..^<:::
i think in the last book Ron and Harry are trying to run up to the girls dormitory, but the steps give way and they slide back down and i think Hermione explains that boys are not allowed in there, but it works the other way around ..
COS was very good. I think that Chris Columbus did a great job of making Hogwarts look magical. I loved POA, but I missed the magic and splendour of Hogwarts in this one.
