mrkiii, I agree that Trump obviously values Carolyn's merits. There's no way Trump his going to have as a trusted and close advisor a person that just sits around and looks pretty. A person does not have to be loud and self promoting just to 'show' he/she is a good employee. Carolyn seems like a very excellent observer who is fair and a great mentor.
Wouldn't you agree that Kwame is even a better observer than Carolyn? I've worked with dozens of high level female executives that have Carolyn beat by a mile, who are more intelligent, well spoken, accomplished and well respected in meetings. In the last episode, Kwame watched his staff and then came in when requested to resolve conflicts ie., VIP meet & greet, Diane's Airport mission and briefing Donald etc.
Carolyn didn't provided much useful information from her analysis except to say Bill was exceptional, always hiccups but okay. She disagreed with George about whether her golf tournament was more complex a project than the rock concert. But her analysis and supporting arguments were non-existent or few in between. I wonder whether she has a college degree in basket weaving. Nope, Carolyn didn't impress me at all. George was going to provide his support when Donald interrupted him and told George to shut up. Then Carolyn got the last words in the boardroom.
You know, they cut, splice, and in general show very little of what all goes on. It's all for show. I'm sure much of the conversations in the boardroom are cut, or the people are told to keep it short and sweet to squeeze it in the time alloted. There's NO WAY for anyone but Donald Trump to know and see all of Carolyn's merits. And I still say there is NO WAY he would keep her on board if she didn't tow the line. The show is not about her, and to sell her strong points--it's about the contestants. The producers are not trying to impress us with her strengths--Mr Trump is already impressed.
Carolyn is married with two young children, lives in Conneticut.

'Apprentice' henchmen fired up
By Ann Oldenburg, USA TODAY, March 24, 2004
Trump hired her the minute he met her during a property deal.
"He's great. I've known him for almost 10 years, and after 10 years I still have a smile on my face. He's very demanding, very articulate. Every day is a new challenge."
Although she has had to juggle the show, along with running the golf clubs and finding time for her family (a husband, two young children and a home in Connecticut), she's ready for Apprentice's Round 2, too. Next season, she says, expect "perhaps some harder tasks." But don't expect a change in her attire, which was described by People magazine as "extra-prim": "I have to come across as very serious."
And in a dig to the female contestants who wore short skirts and high heels, she says, "Somebody in the boardroom had to wear business attire."

A little info on Carolyn Kepcher - Trump's Right Hand Woman, February 10, 2004
Kepcher has been with Trump for about nine years. A native of Westchester, Kepcher came to Trump's company via the hospitality industry, where she was previously director of sales and marketing for the Beck Summit Hotel Management Group of Boca Raton, Fla.
What's she looking for in a winning apprentice? Leadership, creativity, "the whole package," she says. "From working for Mr. Trump for the amount of time that I have, I know what he's looking for - a take-charge person . . . He's looking for truly talented people."
And Kepcher has no time to dwell on her newfound fame. "To be perfectly honest," she says, "I'm a little too wrapped up in my real job right now to actually go out and enjoy it."
Ross is Trump's executive vice president and senior counsel.

USA Today, March 25, 2004 - By Ann Oldenburg
Ross has known Trump since the 1970s; Ross was a lawyer in a firm with which Trump was conducting a deal. They became friends, and eight years ago, when Ross was "bored" with what he was doing, Trump invited him to join him.
Ross doesn't get mash notes, but the married father of two and grandfather of three says, "I seem to have developed quite a following among younger people." They tell him that they love to watch him, he says. "I'm enjoying it. It's nice when you work hard and see that people enjoy it."
There isn't much of him on the cutting-room floor, he says, although board meetings were closer to two hours, instead of just the few minutes seen on the NBC show each week. As for him: "What you see is what you get. There's no acting. That's the way I am. If I come out sounding fairly difficult, sometimes I am."
When he's not advising Trump, Ross says, he plays tennis or golf, and he teaches a course in negotiation at NYU. He lives on Long Island and considered retiring several years ago, but Trump makes life interesting.
"I think I know his mind as well as anybody else. I know what he wants. He gives it to me, and I can take it from there. He does not micro-manage. He deals in broad strokes. I love it."
And now Ross is ready for a second season. "I think it'll be better. I think that there are areas that could be improved upon. The tasks. The drama in the boardroom where decisions were made — a little more of that."
He won't retire anytime soon. "I'm having too much fun! It keeps you young."
Apprentice Bill's Gig Uncertain? - Tuesday April 20,2004 - By Sarah Hall
Apprentice winner Bill Rancic earned what Donald Trump touted as the "dream job of a lifetime," but what, exactly, did he sign on for? The Chicago skyscraper project that the 32-year-old cigar salesman will reportedly be helming in some fashion may not be as concrete as the Donald made it sound on TV.
Despite Donald's grandiose descriptions of his tower-to-be, financing for the tony high-rise has yet to come through , according to the New York Times--and there are those that doubt that it ever will...
Hollinger International, Donald's partner in the project, has been dealing with internal problems since ex-CEO Conrad Black quit in November, after directors smelled something fishy about multimillion dollar payments to himself.
Donald, himself, is saddled with nearly $2 billion in debt from his despairing Atlantic City casino holdings.
However, the real-estate mogul says he has no doubt that the skyscraper will rise. "This thing is happening," Donald told the Times. He claimed he was in talks with five potential backers, "all of which are dying to do the job."
Then there's the small matter of Bill's lack of experience in the real-estate arena. Though the Donald hasn't yet determined what Bill will actually be doing, he's emphatic that it "will be an important job." But does a cigar salesman have the necessary know-how to head up the construction of a major real-estate venture? Um, no. "I think I'm going to need some guidance," Bill said. "But I think Mr. Trump has the right people in place. They'll take me under their wing." Bill said he felt ready to take on the one-year challenge, which will net him a $250,000 salary.
The mix of big bucks and little experience could prove irresistible for NBC, which, according to the Hollywood Reporter, is toying with the idea of doing an Apprentice spinoff that would sic cameras on Bill as he sweated out his job. Nothing is official, however, and it seems the proposed project would be scuttled if the financing falls through. Bill also performed his first official duty as the Apprentice: handing out a $10,000 grant to a young entrepreneur as part of a contest sponsored by Apprentice underwriter Chrysler
