That guy is canadian, but his name escapes me at the moment... He's been around Hollywood for years... I think he has a star on Canada's walk of fame in Toronto...
Hey, I disagree with some of you guys who thought that the Tuvix episode of Voyager was turd. It was actually an interesting idea, as it underlay some of the inherent problems transporter technology could potentially have, ie. the integration of organic matter at the molecular level if they somehow got jumbled up. 'The Fly' movie also had the same concept but it belonged to the horror genre.
In my opinion, the worst idea of the Star Trek series was the Fair Haven episodes in Voyager. Completely irrelevant and devoid of imagination.

Synopsis - Almost the entire crew has started hanging out in Tom's new program, that of a friendly Irish town; including the captain, who's taken a shine to a certain bartender.
Hey Whid, that's a good one!
What's so bad about Tuvix? Is it the name that bothers people?
Or the fact that he grovelled and begged for his life, literally on his knees, after Janeway decided to 'reverse' him back to Tuvok and Neelix? I thought he had a point though, and Janeway knew this. I still remember that after Tuvok and Neelix had returned, everyone was happy and celebrating, except Janeway, who looked almost in tears and walked off sombrely, for she knew that she had ended an innocent life, even if it was done to save two lives.
Now, how can such an episode which dealt with the above paradox and not to mention the dangers associated with transporter technology, be bad???
Ron is absolutely spot on with his synopsis regarding the Fair Haven episodes. I think there were 3-4 episodes in the final season of Voyager which was based solely in Fair Haven. Those were the only blips in an otherwise splendid and imaginative Voyager series which lasted 7 years. I've tried to follow Enterprise but somehow it's not in the same mould, although some earlier episodes were quite interesting.

I think what it was, was that Tuvix, himself was an unlikable character.
He was ugly. And he was real smug. He kind of got in your face when he talked to you.
I found the character of Tuvok, very likable. He was cool.
I found the character of Neelix mildly irritating, because he was always the antagonist, needling Tuvok and not respecting his Vulcan culture.
They were polar opposites. They combined to make one messed up smug weirdo. I felt no empathy for Tuvix. I wanted him back to what he was.
Enterprise had a similar premise a couple of weeks ago. Trip was rendered brain dead in an accident. The doctor made a temporary clone of him for the purpose of harvesting organ tissue to cure Trip.
The clone had memories, etc. and did not want to get murdered to save Trip.
Captain Archer shut him down and went on with the plan. He had the same pained look at the end that Janeway had with Tuvix.
I liked the Enterprise version of the story. So it must have been the character of Tuvix that I reacted to in a negative way.
Hey, I just noticed. Look at the photo of the doctor with Tuvix. The doctor hates him too!
I almost forgot about Janeway getting turned borg. It was a good episode and I liked it. But it was a bad makeup job on poor Catherine Mulgrew. Talk about beaten with an ugly stick!
