My folks liked the OG show, so when TNG came on they kind of steered me to it. I didn't get hooked until around the third seasons. 'Best of Both Worlds' cliffhanger hooked me big time.
I watched the show regularly before that, but when I saw that two-parter, I was in for the long haul. Back then I felt like every episode was movie quality.
I didn't mind Voyager. It was the one that I watched the most episodes of, but in looking back, I think that was because it was the only one I knew when it was. I really haven't liked too many OG episodes that I've seen.
I never saw the last episode of Enterprise What happened?

I dunno. I tuned in and saw riker was there and the whole show was a holodeck for Riker, and I seen him talking to Diana, who had a pot belly and a double chin,
and I just plain BOLTED on outta there. I don't know what happened and I don't care much either.
Wow. Next Generation is really ahead in the poll. The borg stuff was awesome. I will admit that I used to watch it. Deep Space Nine was not as good. The characters were not as likeable.

Basically, it was a holodeck representation that Riker and Troi started on the Enterprise-D, circa 6th season episode 'The Pegasus'. They witnessed the events leading up to the formation of the United Federation of Planets. That took place about six years after we last saw the Enterprise crew. No one really changed. Trip died at the end of the episode, everyone else just went on like normal.
If you didn't see the TNG episode that this refers to, Riker is struggling with his conscience about an incident early in his career that not even Picard knows about. It was a damn good TNG episode, but such a weak ass finale for Enterprise. Totally lame.
And Voyager sucked. If you get a chance, check TNG for sure. DS9, too.

You didn't think the DS9 characters were likable? I thought they were the most real, if that's possible. That war arc was pretty daring for Trek and sci-fi in general. The tackled waaaay more issues than TNG did, harkening back to the original series. DS9 had episodes that dealt with lesbians, racism, war, terrorism, and a lot more. Great series. Oh, and their ship could cloak. That was damn cool

There are a couple of seasons of Star Trek the Next Generation that I just love. I just saw one of them today. I came across the one where the borg had captured Captain Picard part II. It was really good. They had some spooky ones during that season too. Data could get pretty scary with his weird dreams about Deanna being a birthday cake, etc...
I do like the old Star Trek for sentimental reasons but there are some episodes I just can't watch again such as the ones with the 70's people looking for Eden.
