It looks like the Chargers finally will get to play at home for the first time since Sept. 21. Things looked rough when a 24-10 loss to Baltimore dropped San Diego to 0-3, but they got worse. The team is 1-7 and the community suffered widespread wildfires that forced a Monday Night Football game to be moved to Tempe, Ariz., and there's a slight quarterback controversy. A couple of days after defensive end Marcellus Wiley wondered aloud if Doug Flutie should have been brought in sooner to replace Drew Brees in a Week 9 loss at Chicago, Wiley and Brees discussed the matter privately. Brees had no malice for Wiley. "I kind of respect Marcellus for saying what he did to me," Brees said. "I don't think it was necessary to say it to the media, but to come and say to me is perfectly fine." After helping out fire victims, the Chargers have to regroup and hope the emotion they feel on Sunday will help them defeat the visiting Minnesota Vikings (6-2). Kickoff is set for 4:05 p.m. ET.
