Half-Time (Merge Time) Analysis anyone ? post #1  quote:

Well, as of last night's show and unexpected merge, it is now "half-time" in the S7 game,

Morgan and Drake are disbanded, and the Balboa tribe has been formed.

While Balboa must operate together as a tribe for general survival, the castaways must now compete with an eye towards individual rather than team immunity and advantage.

M2 Lil

Things will start coming down to personal survival strategies and it reminds me of those old ethical questions, such as:

You are trapped in a cave with your best friend. Your ages and lifestages are equal, you both have families who count on you, etc., etc. You know it will take rescuers at least 3-4 days to reach you. You know there is enough oxygen for 2 people to survive for 2 1/2 days ... or for 1 person to survive 5 days. The only variable is you have a knife, your cave mate does not. What would you do ?

Anyone care to speak to strategy for any of the remaining castaways ?

Perhaps pick your favorite and outline what they might do to stay in the game, become one of the final 2, as well as get the jury's vote to win ?

Or maybe outline several possible strategies and outcomes ?

Don't forget the face of the game can change and because of the changing immunities, a Plan B might be advisable

By the way, I would like to see Rupert win. My rationale is he's most deserving but he has to surmount the obstacle of being a threat and I haven't figured out what his game plan should be at this point.

I'm with you, obaf. I absolutely love Rupert, and he has worked his ass off to get to this point. I think that he's got a lot of obstacle's in his way, because the other survivors are going to start viewing him as a huge threat. Sure, they might not want to dump off the food provider, and it would be a death to Drake to off Rupert at this point. Rupert just needs to take care of himself, getting sleep, eating as well as possible each day, and keeping his mind focused for the upcoming challenges.

There is no telling who will win immunity each week. There are so many different games played that require skills all over the place. Some require brute strength. Some require stamina. Some require wisdom or intelligence. It's anyone's game depending on the challenge that they are presented with.
