Tensions and nerves plague both tribes as they wait for an outcast to rejoin their camps.
At the first-ever Outcasts Tribal Council, Nicole, Skinny Ryan, Lillian, Burton, Michelle and Trish all have a chance to plead to be voted back into the game. Will Sandra face her worst fear of having Burton return? Or, will Skinny Ryan have the opportunity to face his former Morgan tribe once again? Watch and see.

As SURVIVOR: PEARL ISLANDS moved forward, the castaways were surprised by a merge of their tribes. In the first Tribal Council as a new single tribe named Balboa, the remaining castaways voted off ex-Morgan tribe leader, Andrew Savage, the 40-year-old attorney from Chicago, Illinois, in a six-to-four decision. Upon leaving Tribal Council, Andrew sent a message to his former tribemates: "Stick it to Drake, show them what we're made of, and continue to make all of us proud."
OUTCASTS TRIBAL COUNCIL: BURTON & LILLIAN VOTED BACK IN
In a historic Tribal Council, members ousted from Drake and Morgan convened as the newly formed Outcasts tribe with the objective of voting two castaways back into Morgan and Drake. Each Outcasts member made their plea as to why they should be voted back into the game. After a close vote, Burton Roberts, the 31-year-old marketing executive from San Francisco, California, and Lillian Morris, the 51-year-old scout troop leader from Cincinnati, Ohio, won the honors of returning to the game. After randomly selecting who would go to which tribe, it was determined that Burton would return to Drake and Lill would return to Morgan.
BURTON RETURNS TO DRAKE
On an ominous and stormy evening, Burton returned to the very tribe that had stabbed him in the back. Apologies were made, and Burton's homecoming was sweeter than expected. "Burton shows up in a good mood, happy to be here, full of enthusiasm and life. And, it just pumped Drake back up," noted Rupert Boneham, the 39-year-old troubled teens mentor from Indianapolis, Indiana.
LILL RETURNS TO MORGAN
On that same stormy night, Lillian returned to the tribe she never felt a part of. As Lill's old tribe welcomed her back with open arms, Lill's trust was at a premium. "They are welcoming me, but they voted me off. I approached Andrew before, the first nine days I was on. He said to me, he would get back to me about Tribal Council. But, when it came down to the voting, he never did get back to me, which causes hard feelings and resentment," explained the scout troop leader.
RUPERT AND BURTON BURY THE HATCHET
After taking Burton aside, Rupert explained that he voted Burton out of the tribe because Burton made fun of him. Burton made amends as the two agreed to move on. "I feel awful. I have a lot of respect for Rupert. And, I feel bad. I feel really bad," Burton remarked after hearing how he hurt Rupert's feelings. Rupert also let it be known that it was his intention to vote off Jon Dalton, the 29-year-old art consultant from Danville, Virginia at the next Drake Tribal Council, thus confirming Burton's strong position within the tribe.
LEMONS FOR MORGAN, LEMON TREE FOR DRAKE
The morale at Morgan was as low as their food rations. On day twenty, Lill realized she had returned to a depleted tribe in which Andrew harbored resentment at Lill for her immunity from the next Tribal Council.
Meanwhile, at Drake, Burton, Christa and Rupert trekked to the lemon tree, where they made an alliance to vote out Jon at the next Drake Tribal Council. They agreed Jon's lack of honesty worked against the tribe as they speculated about a merge between tribes. "If the Morgans need him, they might take him. Not because they like him, but because they don't have a choice," speculated Burton.
THE MERGE
As the two tribes assembled for what they thought was a Reward Challenge, Host Jeff Probst surprised them by explaining that the two tribes were officially becoming one. He then explained that all Challenges would be won by an individual; Tribal Immunity would be no more. The Tribal Immunity Idol was then replaced by a sword in a sheath.
IMMUNITY CHALLENGE: KEEL HAULING
After breaking the news of the merge, Jeff Probst explained that the Immunity Challenge involved holding their breath while pulling themselves along a rope under a floating wood platform without coming up for air. The Challenge would run two heats, with the two winners of each heat competing against each other in the final heat. The winner of the final heat would then be awarded Immunity.
The first heat was a close competition with Rupert and Jon winning and advancing to the final heat. Ryan and Burton won the second heat. The final round consisted of Rupert, Jon, Ryan and Burton. Jeff Probst made the Challenge more difficult by forcing the finalists to swim under the platform five times instead of one while transferring gold medallions from a pole on the back of the platform to the front. The tight race came down to Rupert and Burton, with Burton winning by a nose. Burton, already having Immunity because of being voted to return to the game, was left with the decision to assign his Immunity to another castaway or hoard it for himself.
As the newly formed tribe boarded their boat to make a new home out of the old Drake camp, they were given the thrilling news that there was a buffet waiting for them.
FEAST FOR BALBOA
As the new tribe paddled to shore, the tribe members agreed to name themselves Balboa after Rupert's pet snake. As the anxious tribe arrived on the beach after the Challenge, their eyes grew wide at the sight of the banquet awaiting them. While the hungry tribe devoured everything on the table, Lillian realized, "For a few solid moments we were all together as one. But I knew that here is where the true game starts."
SWING VOTE LILLIAN
After having been voted out of Morgan and then reinstated, Lillian Morris proved to be in the driver's seat for the upcoming Tribal Council vote. Morgan needed her to keep the balance, while Drake needed her to tip the scales. Members from both camps lobbied Lill for her vote. Ex-Drake members wanted her to vote against Andrew; ex-Morgan members requested she vote for Jon. "Definitely the swing vote tonight could be Lill. She could go with Morgan or Drake," claimed Tijuana Bradley, the 27-year-old pharmaceutical sales rep from St. Louis, Missouri.
In the end, Lill allied herself with the ex-Drake members, making hers the crucial vote to oust Andrew. He became the first member voted out of the new Balboa tribe.

I am not stupid but for the first twenty minutes I was at aloss as to what the H was going on. I though that The Outcasts were going to make up a third tribe. Yhe Jeff stated they have two votes. The explanation was cloudy and I was caught in the fervor of dreaming up possibilities we would have a new tribe to compete.
No, suddenly I got my bearings and here was Burton back and ON Drake. Lil finds herself back at Morgan wondering around trying to do busy work while Morgan slept and lolled, a round
as usual.
Then we get the big reunion with Burton and Rupert, but Lil is not so happy with Andrew, and the whole Morgan tribe.
An especially telling moment was when Andrew was trying to get her on his side, ans she said you were supposed to get back to me. but you helped vote me off.
Wow that was it for Andrew. Even Jon, the pain that he is got thru.
Now they are all one big not so happy tribe fighting for themselves.
I believe John's days are numbered , Burton and Andrew form a Strong alliance , including Lil.
Now that its every man or woman for themselves.
The true characters will emerge.
Will Burton keep his promise to Rupert?
Will Lil feel comfortable with Balboa.
Next week should show some good dynamics.
For this I am happy. Sick of seeing Morgan Tribe moaning and doing like nothing to preserve their lives.
How come no one can find food? These beaches are not that far apart. They just are failures and I think every single one of them should be voted off.

Life may not be the party I had hoped for.......
But while I'm here I might just as well listen to the music and dance..
I think that we're going to see more of the Morgan tribe people continuing to do what they do best... NOTHING! They are the absolute defination of what comes to mind for the word LAZY! SLUG! They do nothing. No wonder they were starving to death. And now, they will be thinking that since their all one big happy tribe, Rupert will just keep doing everything. I guess that we shall see. Some other people better learn some skills or they are going to be leaving all too soon.
Jon was lucky this week... but his number is coming, I fear. Unless, people start deciding to "pick off" Rupert and other strong members.
And, from the looks of the previews that they showed last night, it looked like Saundra and Chris were in the water, and they were talking about some strategy. We shall see. After all, they are all fighting for the prize now. It's no longer teams, it's people against people. All for one, one for all no longer applies once the merge happens. But, the tribes normally stay aligned and try to go together through the end.
I think that Lil was right in what she said to Andrew. She owed him NOTHING. He lied to her and then wanted to kiss her ass and have her be on their side! Oh, NOW she was usefull to them! Whatever. But, she needs to let go of being angry and just play the game, and get to know some people. And use some of her scout skills as well. Show that you are needed!!! And work hard.

Lil spooked me out a little this episode. It was not her fault, but they showed her in the night vision stuff, sitting there at camp with those big eyes.
She looked like a barn owl ready to pounce on a rat. The night vision camera does something to the eyes that makes you look like a vampire or something.
I was sad to see Savage go. I was rooting more for his team than the other.........I usually root for the underdog though.
The game is up for grabs, cause next week it looks like everyone is fracturing and splitting. I hope someone from Morgan can eek out a win, but if not, I would have to go for Rupert.
He is working harder than anyone else out there.
Right you are, whidden. Rupert is the hardest working person out there. He wants to survive, and that means getting off your butt and doing things, like providing what is needed for your daily living. Food, shelter, comfort (if that's possible), etc...

I'm a champion of the underdog too whidden ... but the ONLY one left at Morgan I can root for is Darrah. She talks funny, but at least she hung in the basket and ate slime and T and RyanO have done little that I remember.

Rupert is definitely the most deserving of all of them which, unfortunately, may be his outdoing. There is noone that any of them like better, and so they all know they can't beat him in the end and won't want to be sitting next to him in the final two.
But YAAAAAAAAAY Rupert anyway !

Originally posted by whidden I did not like Rupert at first, cause he stole the other tribes stuff when they were in the town.
But he grew on me, week after week. It would be great if he makes the final 4.

Same for me too whidden, up to the point where he flipped out because Jon voted for him.
Did he honestly think he was going to make it to the end with no votes?

Originally posted by whidden Jon is scared of him now, if he trys to vote him out again, he will make sure he has the votes before he does.
I liked Rupert from the beginning. His "theft" of the other tribes possesions was strictly playing the pirate game, and so I attached no negatives to it. Since then they ALL have legally "stolen" from others as part of winning the reward challenges
As for Rupert's flip-out at Jon, as far as I'm concerned, the fact that Jon is such an aberration may have factored into it.
Seriously, I picture Rupert responding in that explosively booming way if the kids he mentors get out of line. He probably views any infractions as personal betrayals. I'll bet those kids respect him and he has few repeat offenders.
Of course Rupert knew he would eventually get votes, but at that point in the game he saw it as undeserved and a betrayal -- and re-acted like a wounded bear. Jon was literally biting the hand that feeds him and Rupert roared about it.
Maybe we forget sometimes that Rupert is playing the game too, so in a way it is also a strategic control thing. Note the differences in the way he personally interacts with each castaway. If he thought it strategically necessary to treat Jon like a wayward, misbehaving teen -- so be it.
Yay Rupert

I agree with you to a point, but literally wanting to kill someone goes beyond playing the game.
He admitted he LITERALLY wanted to kill Jon. Someone that can get that angry is not someone who deserves the money. My vote is against him.
No one deserves to be intimidated like that and ESPECIALLY not in a game.
I can understand the arguments going on in the tribes, as they are put in a very stressful situation. I can understand the anger towards the lazy ones, and towards alliances getting broken, but again, that is also part of the game.
My strategy would have been to only make temporary alliances until I learned who could be trusted (not that anyone can in a game like this). Did Jon break an alliance with Rupert, or did he just figure out it was in his best interest to get rid of Rupert?
Aside from Jon's arrogance, which if I was there, I would want him out too, this is a game. Like I said before, Rupert maintained enough self-control to not hurt Jon, but when he reached out in anger and grabbed Jon's shoulder... that's when the line got crossed.
No one has the right to lay a hand on another person in an act of intimidation. Rupert is definately using intimidation to get ahead, and that's his strategy. However, in my personal opinion, I don't like his strategy and I can't wait for him to get voted off.
Did Anyone see the previews for the next episode?
Seems like there is some turmoil going on involving Rupert. Not the sting Ray. Something like Rupert into it with oneof the tribe members?

Yeah, he was angry... but he wasn't going to kill him.
He said the words in anger... we have ALL said words in anger.
That doesn't mean that we're going to do something that extreme.
If Rupert is such a bad guy... why is the majority of people who are watching this game pulling for him to WIN?
I'm with OBAF... he was betrayed, and he was angry about it, because he was lied to, right to his face. When you have friendships, and you directly ask them something and they lie to you, deny the truth, and then turn around and stab you in the back, with what you asked them about and they denied, you would get upset, angry, etc... and react as well.
