Forum cleanup by KJ (formerly KJPotter) and Mike James INReview TATU cleanup of 9-25-03
Threads were split apart and/or removed for being off-topic, duplicates, or otherwise useless to the forum.
KJ did most of the splitting, while I handled the administrative end.
Some of the threads in here are closed or replied to by me at the end... those are all methods we used to keep track of which ones were done and which ones weren't.
Out of a total 17341 posts in 208 threads, 13492 posts in 131 threads were junk.
To simply delete all of that would have drastically affected the posts counts and forum standings of the forum and several of its users. Instead of deleting things, I came up with a system including this forum. We split away the worthless posts and moved them into here. Then we hid this forum from everyone save mods and admins. Sometimes if a thread was more than 70% junk, we just moved the whole thing in here. Since most of the forum regulars had immense, we renamed this forum T.A.T.U., so that "TATU" would appear in people's profiles (forum activeness) instead of "Forum Cleanup - To Be Removed." This way, no one lost post counts.
We added the four subforums: Pictures, Fanifics, Rumor Mill, and Chit Chat.
The purpose of the chit chat forum was simply to give them a place to do their chit chatting OUTSIDE of the normal INReview forum.
The project was completed on Saturday Sept. 29, 2003.
