Okay... was anyone thinking about how grateful that the Drake team should be for Sandra having been able to communicate with the islanders in their native tongue? And it was sooooooooooooooo awesome that she stumbled upon those people dancing and traded her gold necklace to them for all that food. That was great.
Too bad no one else kept any jewelry and did the same thing. That would have been a blessing to both teams!

Sandra's method of taking the tarp is going to hurt her when the tribes merge. Morgan is going to remember how Sandra took the tarp, and mouthy attitude while doing it.
She sealed her fate unless she can pull off an alliance when they merge.
Who was it that didn't want to go over there because they were thinking ahead? One of the women said the Morgan team will remember the person who takes an item. How smart she was not to go!

I might have missed something but I didn't think Sandra was especially confrontational or abrasive. I thought she tried to be nice under the circumstances but the Morgans were still smarting from the loss and were uniformly unpleasant. None of them even tried to disuade her by offering another booty option or appealing to her for sympathy or used any form of negotiation.
By the way Sandra spilled her guts and ASKED for Morgan's water jug and they said they didn't have one -- they are using a big dish, I think.
I think Morgan will take Drake's water jug if given the opportunity.
Drake should have drawn straws ( or palm fronds ? ) for who played pirate ... and the visiting pirate should have said as much to the Morgans and used the opportunity to display some calculated consideration and make the best impression possible. As Jeff said ... payback can be painful.

I don't remember Sandra being all that mean either. I mean, she didn't want their tarp... she wanted a water jug, and that's what she asked for. The tarp was chosen, I believe, because there was nothing else around, from what I could tell. BUT, I know that I couldn't have taken that from them. I would have said, "Look, I know that I have to take an item, and it has to be useful... but I don't want to take your tarp from you. You need that to at least stay a little warmer than you are. I need to know what you have, and I will take something, but I will try to make it not too bad." Something like that... because that is the type of person that I am.
The Morgan team were rude, making comments to her... and that caused her to talk back. It wasn't rude... but they were like, "Dont you cut our ropes, etc... We're not helping you" She said, "I didn't expect you too. Let me just get this." And as she was walking around their little hut, she laid those palms down saying that they wouldn't be messed up.
Still... I KNOW that she will be remembered. They aren't going to like her for that. BUT, every time someone wins, that will happen... to either side. So, if you get pissed at the other team... just remember that they will also get pissed right back with you. You're both doing the same thing to each team.

Did you notice the difference in how they treated Sandra over the tarp and Christa over the bowl. I mean, Andrew was all "snotty" to Sandra over the tarp, but when Christa wanted the bowl he was "Mr. Helpful." "Careful, don't burn yourself, it's hot", and he's taking out the blanket and wringing it and schomoozing with her. Looks like he prefers blonds !

Shark tactics.
He wanted information from her and perceived her as softer than Sandra and maybe not as smart Sandra. He was playing the friendly kindly lawyer and trying to get the "witness" to cooperate by being "nice" while shooting questions at her.
Yay Christa ! She actually surprised me and I thought she held her ground quite well but in an aw-shucks non-confrontational way

I still think Sandra's method of taking the tarp was snotty. I can't place any instance but something seemed deveious about the way she presented herself.
Christa presented herself in a friendly way, not with authority but because she had to be there. I saw the difference in the way the two raided the camp, and I think Sandra has a haughty attitude that's going to get her canned when the tribes merge. She'll butt heads with other strong-willed people and it's going to be a race to see who can stay.
My prediction is Sandra is going to come unglued and show her true colors worse than last week. She's hot-tempered but she's holding it for now, except for one outburst. I don't think she's going to be able to hold it much longer.

I do understand what you mean and also can't quite put my finger on it. My impression was that she tried to keep a lid on it at first, but Morgan's remarks and attitude ticked her off and then she was trying to contain herself but the real Sandra spilled over some.
My asessment:
Sandra is the controlling type and it's compounded by tunnel vision. She sees things only HER way and only through her eyes.
She is used to getting her way. She starts out by being confident and assertive but when questioned or challenged she does not respond well, and her demeaner becomes pushy, aggressive, domineering and abrasive.

Yep. Sandra has a short fuse. The trick is to stay calm. Not "roll over" but just not engage with her ... let her holler into the wind. Jon erred by responding and letting it escalate.

Sandra is playing this game very smart. She knows when to warn others, when to keep quiet, when to back off and let others fight, and when to pull her weight in challenges.
Of course you do... because she was the one responsible for the "Fish Incident."
I hope that she goes all the way.... and that Darrah is number two. Sandra deserves it.
I wrote more thoughts on here in the thread on the finale. I don't want to repeat it... but she has done more than the other three remaining people there.
