There is not one person on that list that stands out at me...
I suppose they are following their formula from the first movie. Get main characters that are pretty much unheard of (at that time I don't think Denise Richards had broke out yet...), with the exception of Michael Ironside (I believe he was a villian in Total Recall???).
I know... there isn't anyone in there that stands out to me either. I wish that they would bring some of the original cast, that survived, so that there is a link between the two. Like have them be the trainers, etc... talking about how they remember before all of this happened.

I have a feeling the second one there is going to be a big defeat at the end, where the troopers don't win. Call it a gut feeling but I think the movie producers plan to strike one up for the buggers vs. the humans.
This one just came out, and man is it great... I mean as far as Sci-Fi B movies go. It's cool. The crazy thing about it is... it's filled with Election year, Democrat propaganda. They start out by introducing the Hero, Dax, as a renegade anti-war soldier, who protested his war by killing his commanding officer, after winning three purple hearts, and some other medals. (2004 Dem. pres. candidate John Kerry won three purple hearts, and some other medals in Vietnam, and came back to the USA to protest that war) Then when a new commanding officer puts his troops in danger, by "spreading them too thin," (as the Left often claims George Bush did with the war on terror), his soldiers elect Dax to take over command, at which point he takes care of an ocean of bad bugs by carpet bombing them. (A popular war strategy among democrat commander-in-chiefs is to not use troops at all, but to just bomb key targets like command centers and weapons programs with smart bombs) Then, when they turn on the bug-zapper fence (American borders), only letting humans through, the bugs still get in, by infiltrating (brainwashing) human minds with parasitic mind control bugs (muslim extremism). One of the infected humans allowed in has a towel wrapped around his head, while the other one's name is "Ari Peck" (Arabic). According to the commentary, they wanted the bugs to sort of "hijack" people. Nice choice of words. In the end, our hero Dax stays behind to fight the enemy bugs, as one survivor escapes to Earth, to both tell the Federation about the hijacker bugs, and the heroism of the anti-war sergent Dax. Then the Federation turns around and uses the legacy of Dax to recruit more soldiers, suggesting that John Kerry saved many thousands of potential Vietnam war veterans by coming back to help stop the war. Like I said... Great movie to watch. Very entertaining. I recommend it... but come on, filmmakers, doesn't your vote make an anti-Bush statement enough?
