well, i think that there was no real point to it. i mean, if they were lesbians and they loved each other, then it would have a point, but they aren't, so the point of it was just to attract attention an turn guys on. i think that it was a little bit inappropriate, considering that most of the people who watch it are teens and preteens.
it wasn't that bad. I just thought that it was the entertainment industry's motto "Sex Sells" and that's all that guys like to see is girls all up on eahc other. Hey, do what you gotta do!
The kiss was really no big deal, the VMA's try to top each previous year with something more outrageous and shocking.
I think now that Madonna has two small kids and is in her 40's, she might want to think about toning down her image and become something that she would want her daughter to emulate someday. She, like Michael Jackson seems to be desperately trying to cling to an image and status they once held long ago. Don't get me wrong, I like Madonna, but I think her sluttish/shock value behavior is getting old. I fully expect at this rate that she will have a partially nude show 20 years from now on a Vegas stage, and even in her 60's she'll pole dance and exploit her sexuality.
But to each his own. I feel so bad for children of celebrities sometimes; yes they are born into privilage but just think of how screwed up in the head they will be!

hahaha, yes. i agree with you, chelktty. i think madonna wants to keep her image she had when she was younger. but she kids now, she can't always be like she was. elvis and the beatles are legends and i think madonna is a legend too, even if she does change. she should maybe "grow up" and act like most 40 year olds. well, maybe not all 40 year olds, look at demi moore.

I think dat it was all blown outta proportion! I was readin' 'bout dis scandalous kiss between Britney and Madonna, it weren't dat bigga deal! But Justin's face at dat point, now dat was funny!
I listened to a live interview with Brittany this morning, and of course "THE KISS" was brought up. She said that it wasn't a big deal, she's never kissed a woman before, and it isn't something that she plans on doing again. It was just something that Madonna asked them about... for shock value!!! And Justin didn't even care. Please... he's with Cameron Diaz, and she is the bomb!

I don't see what the big deal is over the kiss, sure it was a big shock to all of us who seen it at first, they only locked lips 4 like a couple of seconds. Jus something to spice things up a bit!!
It wasn't a big deal... but some people WANT to make it a big deal. It's over with... and I say to those who are making an issue about it... get over it!!!
