I hate to say it, but this movie was good. But.......... if they make a sequel, then they're killing the seguel unless its even better, & killing jason, freddy, anyone whoever they do make one with, careers by just copying & people hate that kind of stuff. Like for instance: Freddys last movie? wasn't needed, he barely killed & he used the same tactics as b4.
If they want to go ahead & make one, it should have Myers in it rather than leather face or.......Chuckie! hahaha

Freddy's Movies have story, they are not about body count, Freddy is usually only after a small group at a time (Save part 2) He could easily just go killing everyone (Like jason) and not have any story behind it...(like jason) but freddy doesn't have to get 30 kills a movie to make it watchable....Freddy's last movie New Nightmare was better than Freddys Dead. and I liked the "Freddy's busting out now that the movies have ended thing...kinda creepy" But most people didn't like it
Hey Legend, I heard Wes Craven scrapped the idea of the prequal, because Ronny Yu wants more Freddy Vs Jason sequals.
Of course I dont have evidence of this right now, but just something for us to think about Maybe you've all heard about Ronny wanting to do the sequals... Personally, I don't mind if they do the sequals, provided they do them right!

Oops, saw in another threat you said that they almost green lit the prequal... Let's see what happens eh? If Wes Craven does the Prequal, I'm sure I'll love it. Anyone else... well....

In the original Nightmare, didn't they say how Freddy became Freddy? He was burned and that's how he became Freddy. I don't think there's a lot of story there to tell.
Right Legend, he probably wouldn't direct it, but Freddy's still his baby, I think he has a say in what gets done and what doesn't. Apparently the prequel will be called "Elm Street: The First Murders" - probably just a working title for a script that hasn't been finalised as yet, but is floating around New Line.
In all the Freddy's they say how freddy became freddy. I'm not entirely sure how scary a prequel could actually be, as half of Freddy's spookiness is his grotesque face... perhaps they'll give him a kind've mask that he'll use when killing... like... a ghost mask or hockey mask or something................... oh wait....
