Season 8 Brief Outline:
This season, the Camdens open their doors - and hearts - to those less fortunate and redefine the very meaning of family. The family faces dramatic changes as Eric returns to the church with renewed vigor and devotes himself to helping local children through community outreach. Kevin and Lucy ponder the pitter-patter of little feet as their twinkly newlywed bliss drives everyone a little nuts. But the biggest challenges await - from a whirlwind wedding to an ominous call from the police - that will put their faith in each other to the test.

Heavenly Chatter: 7th Heaven fans still mourning the loss of a full-time Jessica Biel, Barry Watson and now David Gallagher should be happy to know that, indeed, Jeremy London is returning and is in nearly every episode.
Why such face time? Seems that spinoff thang is still a possibility. "I would love that!" said when we spoke recently. "It's been discussed. And that's a huge part of why I'm there. They're a great group of people, and there are good places to go with the character. The show has run its course in some ways, because it's been on for so many years. But it's unbelievable to be able to turn out storylines still. That's very rare. If I can get my own show out of it, that'd be great. The character has a lot of moral stability and longevity, so who knows?"
Jeremy, who says he spent the hiatus "just vacationing and golfing," might be new to the show, but he's also seasoned enough to know what not to say.
When asked whether he thinks Chandler will propose to Roxanne (Rachel Blanchard) this year, he said, "He is going to venture in other directions and have, uh, ya know...I don't know what I can tell you. Because you know everyone in the world is hinging on 7th Heaven storylines."

Where is David Gallagher going??? I can't wait til the new show to find out what the bad news was...I know it has something to do with Simon...Does anyone else have any clue???
When we walk to the end of all the light we have,
and take a step into the darkness of the unknown,
we must believe one of two things will happen:
that we will land on something solid,
or we will learn to fly.
I don't know WHAT the bad news is, and it's killing me to not know. Do you think that Lucy is pregnant? It's like they are building up for you to think that... but I don't think that will be an issue, this early. What about Mary... what do you think that she's up to? Do you think that she's married, secretly or something?

The preview that I saw the other day showed Simon saying something about being responsible for a death of someone. (If I remember right)
I'm not sure about the Lucy being pregnant...I almost wonder if they will have her character go thru either not being able to get pregnant or having a miscarriage or something to that effect.
With Mary...geez that could be almost anything...her character is the harder one to try and guess what happens next.
The new show is airing Sept. 15...It isn't gonna be here fast enough LOL

I know the feeling. I was just saying tonight that I'm soooooooooo ready for 7th Heaven to start. It seems like forever since we saw the season finale. I'm ready for some new episodes. I just hope that they don't do what they did this past season and start playing a bunch of reruns in the middle of it all, for like 5 weeks. That was frustrating.
Hmmmmmmm... I didn't see the preview. Did you see it on tv, or the net? If on the net, can you give me a link?
Thanks

They are taking the character Simon off the show. Thats why he killed someone (even though it was on accident). David Gallagher is wanting to go to college so they decided to do that. He might be back in a few episodes, but I doubt it.
Oh man, I just watched the season premier. How extremely sad what they are going through. I hurt so bad for Simon... and the previews for next week!! I guess that he is really going to be leaving the show and maybe just doing what Mary and Matt do... make appearances. I'm glad that Lucy isn't leaving.
And speaking of Lucy... why are her and Keven in such a rush to have a baby? They JUST got married. They need to have some time to themselves. What a mistake that's going to be.
Can't wait to see what happens when Mary and Carlos are talking to Eric and Annie. Oh boy... something is going to hit the fan. And the fact that everyone knows before them... whewie! Wouldn't want to be in that house.
What do you think that Roxanne is going to do now that there seems to be a marriage ultimatim laid out to her? Will she accept, or walk away from a great relationship with Chandler??
Speaking of Chandler... what in the world is up with that attitude that he has with Eric? He is so disrespectful to him. Like he thinks that he is just going to be rude to him, making digs all the time. Him and Eric need to come to a peace. It's annoying to see to men of God always going at it.
I love this show and all the messages that they have during each episode. I loved seeing Eric praying again. I really didn't want him to lose his faith in God.
They make Rutie FAR TOO GROWN UP! She is a little girl, but talks like she's in her 30's. I don't like it, and I find it too far fetched. She is always in everyones business, and just seems to know it all. I don't know any kid like that. And her 'boyfriend', Peter... my goodness. "I can't live without her!" Eric needs to sit down and set this kid straight. Cracks me up!!
But, I LOVE this show. It has it's quarks... but it's a good show, with positive messages.
So...what did you think? Did the season opener live up to your expectations? Was it worth the summer wait?

I'm not sure if the season was as great as I thought it would be.
I hate the fact that most of the people in the show have left or are leaving...whats with that?
I also think Lucy and her husband are rushing things with the wanting a baby and all, but with everyone leaving the show, maybe they will just bring more people in.
I can't wait to see whats going on with Mary and Carlos, but whats the whole secret thing with Lucy and Ruthie...Does Lucy know something about Mary and didn't want Ruthie to find out?
They do kind of have Ruthie acting a little too grown up, but being in everyones business and acting like they know everything does kind of fit into that age group she is in.
The whole Chandler and Roxanne thing I don't pay too much attention...I'm not even sure why their characters are even there(to fill in for Matt and Mary, maybe?) But I don't think Chandler should have given her an ultimatum like that...but I guess that just brings up more story lines of them breaking up, getting back together...back and forth.
Guess we'll see Monday what the rest of the story is...
When we walk to the end of all the light we have,
and take a step into the darkness of the unknown,
we must believe one of two things will happen:
that we will land on something solid,
or we will learn to fly.
Last season ended with Mary and Lucy talking about things... and Mary told her sister. Ruthie found out on the season opener... when Carlos showed up on the doorstep of the Camden household.
People leave shows as they grow up and want to do more. Simon is leaving for school. Mary did the same thing. The guy who plays Matt left the show because he was fighting cancer. I miss those characters... I really enjoy the episodes with the entire family, but that's why they bring in new people. It does change the dynamics of the show though.

Mary (Guest-Star, Jessica Biel) makes a surprise visit home to deliver unexpected news to Eric (Stephen Collins) and Annie (Catherine Hicks). Meanwhile, Simon (David Gallagher) tells Cecilia (Ashlee Simpson) that he needs space; Lucy (Beverley Mitchell) and Kevin (George Stults) adjust to married life; Chandler (Jeremy London) breaks up with Roxanne (Rachel Blanchard) after learning that she isn't comfortable with the idea of being a preacher's wife, and the Camdens finally learn who's pregnant.
Okay... haven't Lucy and Kevin BEEN adjusting to married life for the entire summer? Hmmmmm...
As for Roxanne... she KNEW from day one that Chandler wanted to be a minister... and he is one right now. She shouldn't have tried to build up anything with him if this all bothered her. I would like to honestly see Chandler with someone else. Roxanne seems too wrapped up in herself. Maybe she will change though.
As for who is pregnant... do you think that it will be Mary? Or do you think that it will be someone that we don't even suspect at this time?

I really liked this episode. A lot was answered... for me at least. I'm really glad that Lucy talked to Kevin and said that she isn't ready to start a family. They are just too new in their marriage, and need to have that time... and get a house, etc... before they take that on. And Lucy really needs to finish college.
I really, REALLY like Carlos. Now that they showed him more, and we got to see how he and Mary are together... WOW. I loved how they sat on the couch, talking. And Mary telling him that they are going to have a baby... I can't wait. Though, Eric and Annie will go through the roof. I think that it's great. I think that it will mature Mary...
I was about in tears when Simon and his dad were outside, and Simon was telling his dad why he wants to leave. I think that he's grown a lot... and that he should go away, for awhile at least. I feel so bad for Cecelia (but can't they get someone better to play her part? She can not act!)

With Annie (Catherine Hicks) out of town, Eric (Stephen Collins) is left alone to accompany Simon (David Gallagher) on his visit to the Board of Education to discuss early graduation. During the meeting, Simon bonds with his advisor, Maynard (guest-star Cirroc Lofton), when they realize that they're both preachers' kids. Meanwhile, Lucy (Beverley Mitchell) catches Chandler (Jeremy London) kissing a beautiful blonde woman at church and she agonizes over whether or not to tell Roxanne (Rachel Blanchard); Kevin's (George Stults) boss, Detective Michaels (guest-star Christopher Michael), tricks him into babysitting his six-year-old granddaughter; Peter (Scotty Leavenworth) makes a deal with the school bully in an attempt to protect Ruthie (Mackenzie Rosman) and Cecilia (Ashlee Simpson) agrees to watch the twins which leads to a confrontation with Simon.
Nikolas & Lorenzo Brino also star. Harry Harris directed the episode written by series creator and executive producer Brenda Hampton.
