Are these the dumbest houseguests ? post #1  quote:

or are they smart ?

Maybe I'm stooopid, but I thought Dana made a mistake nominating Alison and Jack.

They all bad-mouthed Dana for breaking up the "originals alliance" plan to eliminate the Xs and now Alison nominates 2 originals.

I can't stand Robert, and the nominees should have been Robert and Jee or Justin. THAT was the way to both start reducing the X's and either thwart June or Dana.

That would leave 2 X's to sort out their allegiances. And they'd be stuck with Dana and June

erica, jack, nathan, and alison would remain solid.

No ?

Anyway ... no predictions but I want Jack and Erica to be the last 2 and Jack to win.
It's about time for an older person to win

I think this show is just getting old. When it first started it was something new and interesting. The contestants had to learn how to play the game. Now it is just a bunch of people seeing how fast they can screw each other over. No matter how you try to twist it, no matter how you match up the house guests, it's still the same old show.

I know alot of people like it, but it is just so boring to me. I have tried to watch it this time, but I just can't stand it and have to turn the channel. I'm sorry if I have offended anyone. But to me this show just really is not worth my time.

mymisfit ... no offense taken. In a way I agree with you. The darn show is on THREE times a week, but I mostly just put it on for some background noise

I'm slightly more interested than you are and I think that may be because I totally missed the original BB and part of Big Brother 2 ... so I have fewer comparisons ?

I'm like you OBAF. I didn't see either BB 1 or 2. But I've never seen such back stabbers in my life. And I thought Survivor was bad. These people are even worse. I started watching it now I'm hooked, but I think if it comes on again next year, I'm not even going to start watching it. I'm already hooked on "American Idol"; Who will marry my dad; Cupid, For Love & Money and BB.

AG that's SO funny. I'm hooked on the same shows.

You are right about the back stabbing ... but I think the fun part is to second-guess and sort of play along ... kind of how my elderly Aunt armchair plays Wheel of Fortune !!

It's probably a good thing I can't get live feeds or I might never sleep !

see ya' ... gotta go watch FLOM2

You're right. It is fun. Your Aunt and my mother should get together. I don't think my mother has missed one day of Wheel of Fortune. She never solves the puzzles, but I think she watches it to see what Vanna wears and to root for her favorite spinner.

No, Itchy, I haven't seen Paradise Hotel. I'm on the East Coast. What day is it on and what time, your time. I'll give it a whirl as long as it doesn't interfere with Cupid, For Love or Money, or Who Will Marry My Dad.

If you missed the very first BB, that's why you don't understand all the backstabbing going on now. The first BB was actually cute, and it irritated the producers.

The houseguests made friends with everyone EXCEPT the meanies. America got to vote off the nominated houseguests, and guess what!? They voted off the meanies!

That left a very passive, lovable match of people that did their best to overcome their differences. They made friends and didn't want to hurt each other. They got on each other's nerves, true, but they did what they could to get over the boredom, and to get rid of the mean people.

The producers tried to stir up the pot by offering money to a guest to leave the house, they could put in a female trouble maker who wanted to go in and cause trouble. None of the guests took the bait. Sorry producers, not everyone in this world wants to stab people in the back.

So, enter BB 2, BB 3, and now BB4. None of which interact with America. We are not allowed to vote out people because the producers know we'll get rid of the mean people. Does that tell you anything about the way it was set up this year? The producers want gory, mean, backstabbing people mixed with passive, nice, sweet people. They want action, and the exes were meant to bring in strife to the house.

If Jack and Erika are voted off, I'm done with the show. I vote for the ones who play with a good heart, and the reason I watch to begin with, is because I'm in the people business. I like to see how people behave in certain situations. So far, unless I missed something, Jack and Erika are playing in a way that seems fair.

I agree though, this show is terrible and should just quit while they are ahead. What I learned about Survivor makes me not want to watch it next year. I thought these people were really roughing it, and it was really a challenge. I didn't know they were only something like 10 minutes from a major city!

I never got into the other reality shows, and can't stand the dating shows. I don't believe in putting unmarried people together and letting them mix and match and do whatever they want, so I just skip those. BB has turned out like that now too.

In BB 1, the producers were hoping for sex, but everyone behaved themselves. It was actually cute at times. I love it when a devious plan doesn't come together, but the producer made sure that didn't happen in the next BB's

I never knew the "Survivors" were 10 minutes away from civilization. What a joke. My sister watches it all the time and I can't wait to tell her. Plus if the cameras are always on them, they aren't really "surviving" after all. Your right, I think all the reality shows are the same, not reality. And I wonder what segments are cut out from the show to make it more spectacular. They say BB is live, but how come when someone is voted off, a friend/family member, etc. is waiting for them in the wings. How could they have flown them in one minute to the set? What gives?

auntgoldie, I think BB flies in both nominee's parents/friends/family. Then whoever gets voted off will have the right people there, and the other set goes home.

I with they would have let America vote off those on the block. Dana and Jun would have been out right away.

I am convinced America really doesn't like mean people. Producers want mean people so there can be drama. We want them out because we want the "good guy" to win.

*sigh*

Thanks. It makes sense, since we know ahead of time who the 2 people are who are on the block for eviction. You're right. I think it would be alot more interesting if the public voted who they wanted out. You picked the first two I would have voted off also. I think Michele should have stayed. I also like Erica and Jack. I also hope Jack wins. I'm with you. Most people don't like mean people.
