American Idol is fixed (Corey Clark sucks) post #1  quote:

Thus far I have been able to predict the judges reactions to every contestent's performance accept 1... Corey Clark.

What is the fascination with this guy? His serenade to Paula in the last round was strained and extremely cliche...

Then he proceeds to sing mediocre again last night and the judges give this guy a standing ovation?

I think that the producers had picked this guy from the beginning as someone to put into the finals to boost ratings... I think very little of his accolades have been based upon merit. When I saw the judges reactions last night I could only conclude one thing... The judges had decided he would be a finalist before he even performed...

Perhaps it is his resemblance to Justin???

HEE HEE - Agreed..

All Corey needs to do is lighten his hair and he's there. Justin was much more dude-ly though. Corey reminds me of someone plucked outta the ghetto at the local drive-in theater.

Smile; It confuses people.

After tonight, I might be apt to agree. How on God's green earth did Charles get sent home and Corey be allowed to stay? Do the viewers votes really get counted?

Honestly, I happen to like Corey, maybe its because Ive always had a "different" style of music, but I think that Rasmussen girl and Demato should be/have been gone before either of these two, Demato cant sing at all and her attitude sucks.

My speculation on the "Corey Situation" is that, since they already publicized the heck out of the "Night on the Town" clips in Glendale, they hope that the ratings will stay up with a supposed "bad boy" in the competition. (I enjoy using quotations, in case you couldn't tell...*cough*) Even though, you know, it wasn't necessarily him being a "bad boy"...more like an imbosil. *shrugs*

You know what? Who knows? Maybe the judges and all of the voting population are on crack this season. That would probably be the most logical theory.

Corey Clark is politically correct post #6  quote:

Corey can not hold a candle to the rest vocally but he does have a "style" that the judges are reacting to. They think he would appeal to the young MTV crowd. They are wrong, unless he could rap. If he had a sparkling personality or was really bright he could probably get a career from his exposure on AI. Unfortunately, he seems to have neither exceptional brains, voice or personality. He's got something that's more than average but definitely not enough to be a star. Talent if far more rare than people think.

Curly hair does not make two people look alike. Is the fat chick sexy even though she compared her own butt to JLo's? Corey looks no more like Justin than she looks like JLo and neither has the charisma or talent to be a star.

I agree that the judges like his look. Corey has average talent and I think he has a large following from teens who think he is cute and that is how he has managed to stay in the competition, but in the next few weeks he will be voted off I'm sure of it.

The judges praising him when he does a terrible job singing really gets on my nerves though!

It's American Idol's fault.
They need to choose people with more than a modicum of talent.
They are dashing people's dreams and hopes by implying by their choice that these people have talent...when indeed they don't.
