Why in the blue hell did the Bears go for Kordell Stewart over Brian Griese!!?? Don't get me wrong, I love the Bears, but come on!!!! Kordell is a marginal starter with a track record of having on and off good and bad seasons. He is too inconsistent. I guess if "The Bears presented by Bank One" are looking for a sub .500 season, then they got it by picking up Kordell.
Yeah, very true Marc. Although I am a huge Griese fan, I must admit though that Brian Griese has had a few good years as a Bronco. He led the league in QB rating and QB passing TD's as well. I think Griese will be giving Fiedler a run for his money in Miami this year. But, that, of course, comes from an avid fan of Griese.
Well, I was correct in my statement that Kordell was a HUGE bust this year. But, I do have to say my thought of Brian Griese was wrong as well. He had one good game for the Dolphins, and then he went way down hill. Go Chris Chandler and the BEARS!!
If the Bears are smart, they'll keep Grossman on the sidelines, learning as much as they can. I don't think they should roll over at 3-6, but I'm sure they're realistic about their playoff chances. They need to let Grossman watch Chandler play, and in an ideal situation, he should sit out next season too. Carson Palmer on the Bengals as well. Too many teams are throwing these rooks to the wolves because they don't have any other choice.
