I'm just wondering which of the Harry Potter books, so far, each of you have enjoyed the most.
I like all 5 books, for different reasons.
Sorcerer's Stone - I like that one because it's all about the introduction in to the world of Harry Potter, and him.
Chamber of Secrets - I loved the mystery of trying to figure out what was in the chamber, and what was happening to all the characters because of the basilik.
Prisioner of Azkaban - The Dememters were great... and the intro of Sirius rocked. Great character.
Goblet of Fire - This book had me on my feet from the beginning. There was so much happening in here, and so much that you couldn't figure out. The ending was great, even if the life of Cedric was taken.
Order of the Phoenix - I think that this has to be my favorite book, so far, because we are seeing the characters at an older age, learning more, and being more responsible. The fact that Voldermort is back brings such a darkness to the story, and watching Harry and the gang go through everything, being strong, and getting involved in helping any way they can. There's such a maturity in the kids, which I like seeing. And the fact that you're really seeing the characters being more than friends... they are being a family.
i would say that my two favorite books would be the prisoner of azkaban and the order of the phoenix...
prisoner of azkaban- sirius has been my fav character since he was introduced in this book(i think him being able to turn into a dog is what started me off ^^) this book showed us more of harry's and his parents' past...i just loved the two new characters in this book, lupin and sirius they were great...also harry got the most useful maurder's map (mustve been strange to find out his dad was one of the people who made itXP)
order of the phoenix-isnt it strange that my fav books are the ones that introduce sirius and then take him away? well this one shows harry's faults (his temper) and this book has so much emotion and begins with the darkness that will probably continue on to the next books along with the conclusion of the harry/voldemort battle.... harry and the characters seem more human in this book, they fight have temper problems and it shows changes in the characters themselves ( like ginny^^ has anyone else noticed how she seems to be taking after fred and george? she has to be my second all time fav character)

I've also noticed a lot of changes in Ginny. I think that she's someone that we're going to have to keep our eyes on. I don't know if she will be as devious as Fred and George... but she's got a lot of potential.
I agree with you that the characters seem even more real in this book. We're seeing characteristics in these people that we all deal with on a daily basis.
It will be interesting to see even more changes in the kids in this next book... see what their attitudes are like. See if there is a seriousness in them, since they are now past their O.W.L.'s and looking to their future careers.
Speaking of careers... that brings to mind a new topic. I think I will start one on furture careers for the characters.
Prisoner of azkaban and order of phoenix are da best.
POA-I love the whole time turner thing . it is so cool and mysterious the way harry saw himself.
Order of Phoenix- we see sides of the characters that we've never seen before and we become more close to them. In ten owrds or less. we see the character's less serious/more emotional/themselves sides.
I really liked the Prisoner of Azkaban the best. When I read this book I just couldn't put it down. Lupin and Sirius were introduced and I started to understand Snape a little. He was making potions for Lupin so that he could function. I really felt Harry was happy and it wasn't as dark as 4 and 5.
Order of the Phoenix is my next favorite, but it took a while to get going. I really wasn't stuck on it till the attack on Mr. Weasley. After that I couldn't put it down. A lot of caracters developed and Dumbledore finally explains things to Harry.
My favorite is definitely the Goblet of Fire- I just really liked the plot, the new characters, everything. I liked all the other books as well, Order of the Phoenix was great...but it was so dark, and it seemed like such a cliffhanger ending, it makes you want the 6th book sooner!

Hey... it's okay. That's one WONDERFUL thing about being an individual. We have the freedom to our own opinions. That's what makes message boards so nice. You can discuss things, and you don't have to agree with anyone else but yourself. :-)

Both suspenseful and full of twists...Order of the Phoenix had that too but sometimes I thought the characters went a little overboard. Especially Umbridge. I know she's part of the ministry, but how can she get away with everything she did: like cutting the childrens hands?

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH MRHSIA22
AND DOESN'T ANYBODY THINK THAT HARRY DIDN'T REALLY SEEM LIKE HARRY
HE WAS A LOT JEALOS OF EVERYONE AND KINDA MEANER
I KNOW HE IS GROWING UP BUT.....
