I've watched the first two shows and I think they shouldn't tell them what method of transportation to take to get to the next city. What they need to do is give them enough cash to get to them there then they have to figure out how to get there on what they have.
Also on the first show I think I would have stopped at a travel agent, got my ticket then drove to the airport.
And don't you get the idea the you can do better if you take the less obvious choice. Like in Venice, if they went on foot instead of boat they could get directions instead of having to figure it out on their own.
