Looking for a particular picture of the breakup post #1  quote:

There is a particular image of the shuttle breakup that I am looking for. I was watching FOX News and they were sometimes showing a clip of where some photographer with a video camera zommed in VERY close to the shuttle. From the image, it looked to me as if the shuttle was sideways with the two wings still intact. You could see the outline of the three engines but the vertical stabilizer looked to me like it was gone. I'm wanting to find either a still picture of that or the video clip so I can show a friend of mine who is a pilot. We have been having some in-depth conversations about this and I have told him about this video. He is very anxious to see this. I've done some searching on the Internet (FOX News web site, CNN web site, google search, etc) but haven't been able to find this particular image. If anyone can help me, please email me at mikeellenberg@charter.net

Thanks.

Mike, If you find your image of the shuttle flying sideways, I'd love to see it. If the vertical stab was missing, that would lend itself to the sideways orientation of the shuttle. One thing to note though, the crew would have notcced this sideways motion and alerted Mission Control here in Houston. Unless.....the photo was taken after loss of signal.
